    cracking noises ?

    Hi guys;i've been wanting to ask some question to owners of Vizio VW42L,
    doesn't show any defects fromthis but i've never seen that on other LCD's.
    My Vizio vw46l making some clicking noises similar to relays on and off upon powering up and shutting down, it only happens just for few seconds and after that it stops,

      Posting pictures of the back of your tv showing the boards with clear pictures may help you more with fixing your problem

          Thanks sordids99; but i have no issue, tv works fine and has been working find for as long i have it,just would like to know from the owners of this model Vizio VW42L ,if this is normal? it looks like some type of discharging and charging or the power supply regulator clicking on and off while backlight is discharging or charging till caps release charge, i ask this cause i've just fixed a similar specks Vizio GV42L and hear the relay clicking 1 time when turn on, and 1 time relay click when turning off which is normal on all LCD's

              I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

              Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

              I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

              The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

              With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

              Assuming...

              I have a Vizio VO47L FDHTV30A. The picture works well, but the sound only works through the RCA output jacks. The sound does not work through the internal speakers or the headphone jack. The TV has a rapid clicking sound when the tv is on that occurs about 4 times per second. The clicking sound volume is fairly low and is not affected by adjusting the internal speaker volume level. The clicking occurs whether or not I disable the internal speaker through the Vizio setup menu. The clicking only occurs while the TV is on.

              Any idea what is causing the clicking sound? Any easy way to...

              Hi.

              picked up another TV. This time is a Vizio M65-C1. TV does not turn on. I had repaired another 60 inch vizio , Bad main board.
              When power button is pressed, the Power led indicator on the bottom right, turns for a few seconds and then it fades away. No backlight or Vizio logo on screen. Removed back cover and repeated test.
              This is the TV This TV is a little different from the Samsung I have worked on. Power supply is on the Left side, Main Bd is on the right side, T-CON , not in the picture is on the bottom. I am assuming that the boards in the middle are the LED...

              Symptoms:

              The TV turned itself off, and I haven't been able to turn it back on. The standby voltage was unstable and lower than it should be.
              A weak clicking sound was coming from the transformer.

              After the transformer, I measured four Schottky diodes. DM862C and DM864C diodes readings were 003 in both directions. After detaching them from the circuit and measuring them, DM864C was the shorted one. These Schottky diodes are SB550.I...
