Hi badcappers, have the 60" Samsung Plasma here which is showing an image intermittently. When the image works its fine with no distortion however it works intermittently but they set has sound. I took the Y and Xmain out and resoldered a few suspicious joints but the issue is not solved.
Uppon checking out the Vs and Va rails they seem to come up one time then not the next. I found that the Psu was not being told to turn them rails on as the Vson signal was coming up at 3.3v (working) then falling to 0v (not working). The Vson is generated on the control board, so do you lot think this is the fault ?
I sure it is but just want some others to confirm as the owner does not want to spend too much on the Tv. Cheers
