    LG 42LG60 Burnt Power Supply

Can't find any threads on this TV so this failure may be unique. There is a burnt area on the power supply/inverter board and would like some opinion if this is repairable or does the whole board need to be replaced.

I would be quite concerned if that was my set. Components are generally fire rated with a view that they do not burst into flames.
Are you aware if the set has been abused in someway for example been left outside in all weathers or had liquid spilt on it?
My opinion in the interest of safety would be to replace the whole board.

the photo tell the story, its only transformer burnt due heating of environment, LG600,61000 max Temp of environment are 40 deg.

its smoke effect on board, bur it you wre to replace transformer and the cap its better to replace as dick_barton complete board.

Bleah, all that brown dust everywhere... it looks like the owner was a heavy smoker or it was placed in a room with a bad working stove/chimney
