    Technika 46-270 Solarized Image

    Hello All,
I purchased this set at a reasonable price with a fault description that it was not powering up.

Prior to replacing the main AV board, I froze U10 as suggested in several posts, however this failed to bring the set out of standby.

A replacement main AV board (T.MSD306.68A 12023) arrived today which I fitted.

Now I appear to have a very solarized image. Wouldn’t have thought that this was the problem prior to the mainboard going down, although possible.
I believe that the solarisation may be due to not matching the mainboard to the LCD panel which is a Samsung LTA460HM03.

Is this adjustable in the Service Menu and does anyone know the entry code. I don’t have the original remote and I am currently using a “Total Control” 4 in 1 remote.

    Thanks

That board is set to a 40" so it wont work with that screen. You need the board with the exact firmware flash for that screen.

      Hello ReeceyBurger123,
The board was advertised as being removed from a Technicka 46-270 so it would be disappointing to hear that it is not from that size set.
Can I ask how you could be certain that the mainboard is suitable for the 46" panel and would a new U10 from Ohms Suppliers do the trick?
      Thanks for your reply.

If you still have the old mainboard maybe try a replacement pre programmed u10 chip maybe send ohms supplies a email and see what they say.

edit you beat me too it whilst i was typing.

          Hello Vinceroger69,
I have removed U10 from the old board but I don't know if that was the problem on the original board since the forum says that it gets corrupted and secondly if it is good could it be substituted in place of U10 on the replacement board and work the 46" panel.
          Thanks

Ohm Supplies do a replacement chip so if swapping my original over to the new board does not work I can order one from them. Annoying since it pushes up the repair price.

Have you had a look on their site ? Also it might have come from that model but these do use a variation of screens. Google says that the board and panel number you listed is for a 40" though. You need to get the firmware or board for that exact screen buddy.

                  Hello ReeceyBurger123
The panel number given Samsung LTA460HM03 is on the back of the panel and is without doubt a 46" panel.

And thanks Vincerogers for the confirmation of the EEprom from Ohms Suppliers.

I think the old U10 is probably OK because when I was 'scoping the Clock Input on the old board there were no clock pulses to be seen which are needed to clock data in and out of the chip, so fingers crossed.

I only have a substitute remote control at the moment and I don't know the service menu code.
                      Thanks

Ohh my days, that wont work with these you need a laptop and a usb hook up to be able to get into the SM. Thought at your level of skill you would know that on these TMS boards.

I replace the U10 IC on the replacement board with the one from the original board and the set is up and running.

Many thanks to all who contributed.
