    Re: westinghouse DWM551Y1 no power

We need the pictures of the whole bottom side of the board without the insulator sheet in place, so far we only get to see the LED connectors bottom side picture.

Does anyone have a service manual for this tv?.

I tore this tv on to the led panel. I didn't see any burnt marks on any of the LED strips.
I don't really have anyway to test the LED's at this time. However, they light very bright when powered on, and when powered off they light dimmer once again.

The power supply is what is acting freaky to me. with my meter probe negative on chassis ground and my positive lead on LED + when I power the tv up, the voltage is 175.6 and drops to 75.6 and holds steady. The leds go out when the voltages are at the 175 level. If I unplug the backlight leads from the power supply. The power supply reacts the same way exactly. I don't have any way to take quality picture for you guys.

With the power supply completely disconnected from the backlight. Those voltage at LED + should be steady. Right?

well hell. I hate how fragile this lcd panels are, you would think they would make them a lot stronger. I let the panel bow just a little, and it cracked just like that. All my hours and all the time techs on this forum have invested in helping me repair this tv, and I crack the screen. However, I would still love to find out what is wrong with the backlight. I removed the panel, and I removed the boards. So just the backlight with the main board and power supply. Plugged it up, and exactly the same issue I have been having. Just playing aroud I disconnected the main board and frc board. So now its just the power supply connected to the backlight. Power it up and all the LED's are lighting up, and blinking on and off. The voltages at LED+ are still unstabble 107 to 108 to 116 Any idea's
