I recently acquired a TC-P55GT30 with the 7 blink problem. After a bunch of online research, I learned a bunch of parts fail on the SC board causing 7 blinks so I purchased the repair kit from shopjimmy to fix it. After replacing all of the parts with the new kitted parts, I no longer get 7 blinks :-) but the bad news is I get 6 blinks instead :-( If I removed the SC20 ribbon cable, I get 8 blinks, which according to my research means a problem still exist on the SC board. I have looked for shorts, but I am not finding anything. Any suggestions besides buy a new SC board? I am not finding a ton of information on the 6 blink problem as I did on the 7 blink problem. I have been trying to reverse engineer the energy recovery circuit which I am hoping will help me find the issue but so far no luck. I spent some time looking for IC16581 but can't even find it on the SC board. I'm stuck, please help........

Re: TC-P55GT30 6 blinks
I would start by checking all the ribbon and any connectors to make sure they are seated properly. I had one that the ribbon between the SU and SD board was not quite square and it threw a 7 blink code. I almost started tearing everything apart when I found it. Did you test the IGBT's under the small heatsinks?? You have to probe thru the silicone that covers the pins, but again, I overlooked one of those and I also had bought the SJ kit. I am not real familiar with the 6 blink code, so hopefully some one will chime in that knows more on the 6 blink. Have you tested the tv with the buffers totally disconnected and SC50 socket jumped?? -

I did try the isolation procedure and still get 6 blinks. According to the manual, there is still a problem on the SC board.Last edited by iddomilan; 03-19-2016, 10:59 PM.Comment

Re: TC-P55GT30 6 blinks
Did you also replace the small 8 legged IC and resistors? Can you recheck all IGBT's and diodes for shorts?

There are also parts on the PS that CAN fail when the 7 blink occurs. Check those IGBT's under the heatsink.Last edited by Moreno83; 03-25-2016, 05:37 AM.I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!Comment

by david senGot this 75" TV for free, spent 10+ hours looking into solutions and troubleshooting methods before posting, I would hate for this device to become e-waste.
The issue:
backlight turns on, goes dim, turns off and the red light blinks twice.
unlike the numerous videos I have seen online I can hear an audible click from the relay switch on the p9wer supply board.
What I tried:
disconnecting the main board from the power supply = backlight turns on and stays on.
disconnecting the ribbon cable from the mainboard = backlight turns on, there is... -
by Tr0llHi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.
The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.
Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.
First replacement T-con:
I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)... -
by EazyBoneI write this to maybe help another with this TV.
So I aquired this TV a 2023 model. It started the 2 blink reboot problem which indicates bad panel. It was still under warranty and the repair man came by.
The Samsung repairman brought a brand new panel and switched my original boards to the new panel. The new panel then had the 2 blink error code. The repair guy said he has seen this and the MAIN board on this model will cause the 2 blink. He then replaced the main/power board (they are both connected) and put it back onto my original panel. Voila it worked.

by Mark DThe TV is a Samsung UN65JU67ODFXZA Version TD01. I replaced the power source board and the TV is now working, but I decided to try and troubleshoot the old board to fix at the component level. Trying to get a schematic and a parts list has proven to be an issue. Trying on my own, I can't tell you how many times my Norton security has flagged sites as "malicious". I ordered a service manual from ServiceManuals.net, paid $16.99 and got 66 pages of everything BUT schematics and component parts list! Can anyone steer me in the right direction? Some of the surface mounted component parts...
