If I lay the panel screen down on the floor, won't I have access to the LEDs once I take the back off completely?

    Ok,thanks budm.
This being an Emerson, is it worth fixing it?
$75 for the led set and I spent $25 for the TV.
    Or should I not bother?
You can do it for repair experience, now you already know how to find out which string works as which one does not work.
I would open the panel and test each LED to see how many are bad,.

Two already went, and who know when the third one will go, the main concern is that how the use one were used, if they were driving them on hard which is typical then do not expect the used one will last either.
Once you replace them you should also turn down the backlights level on the on screen user menu.
At this point it is a gamble, I would do all 3, it is 50" panel which will NOT be EASY to disassemble.

So if I'm understanding this right, there are 3 rows of LEDs.
And you believe 2 are out.

I don't know. The listing says he has 3 of them. Should I ask? What would I need. 2 left and 2 right?

I do not know what kind of LED strings set up are being used in side the panel.
Can you find the make and model number sticker on the LCD panel?

That does not make sense for the Vdrops on the return to be that low, but the bottom line is that we know the other two strings are not lighting up.

So just the White one in place you do see the backlights come on for seconds?

Not even a flash for seconds?
Remove the Yellow, and put grey back in and see, if still nothing remove the grey and put the white one back in and see. Need to know which one lights up the screen at least one of them will come on for seconds.
I will need to trace the pins on the connector again.

Emerson LF501EM5F, turns on, logo appears, shuts off, the perfect storm?
    by DXseekerMO
Earlier this week I got an Emerson LF501EM5F that turns on, the logo comes up, a menu and the channel box come on and it immediately shuts down a split second later.

This was bought new and went in a Laundromat. From there it was on from 7AM to 10PM every day.

So why is this the perfect storm? A month ago I got an Emerson LF501EM4 and an EM4A, both will not turn on. The EM4A was struck by lightning and has a serial of DS1 The EM5F has a serial of DS5. The EM4 has a DS4 serial and the chirping transformer problem with a replaced power supply.

    The info...

(SOLVED) - Emerson lf501em5f - Turns on, shows logo, then shuts off.
    by JDC
Issue: Emerson lf501em5f turns on, shows logo, then briefly shows what input it is on, then goes black.

Solution: Bad LEDs. In my case, there were 2. This repair may not be worth it unless you're doing it for yourself. I'm personally not a fan of Emerson TVs nowadays.

PS4 pro PSU (ADP-300FR) shuts down when turning on 12V
    by Norrecito
    Hello all,

I would like to ask for your help to troubleshoot a faulty PS4 pro power supply (ADP-300FR).

A couple of weeks ago, I've picked up a PS4 Pro (CUH-7216B) from one of the local flee markets. According to the seller, it has a "no power" issue and the PSU is most likely faulty. Based on the cracks on the housing, it was probably dropped.

Tried it at home and sure enough, it had a "no power" issue. (Pressing either the power or eject buttons had no effect).

I took out the PSU and opened it. Immediately noticed...
