Re: LG 37LS570S TV no picture or sound
Yes but can you post pictures of the boards and the fault? Does the menu work? Some tv's have a blue background which you can disable haha.I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!Comment

Re: LG 37LS570S TV no picture or sound
The blue background is not the one you can disable menu does not work just get a plain bluish screen and there is no viable fault on any of the boards
I did get a part picture when I first got the tv but I had vertical lines on the screen so checked the LED connecting flat cables and lost everything so I got a new TCon board and still nothing I did have sound before but not now I have tried with a DVD connected with HDMI cable still deadComment

Re: LG 37LS570S TV no picture or sound
Try running the T-con with just one ribbon cable connected at a time. Do you get a partial picture? Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: LG 37LS570S TV no picture or sound
since you where only at T-CON playing, there are of sure when you took the ripon cable you had now broken line or shortet betwenn 2 line, in this case you have this fault and the register of the LCD has bein delete ( empty at main memory of it. took out the t_CON totaly from main board, you should have sound when you play HDMI No 1 with ACRComment

by iglitareHi,
i want to repair a Sony KD-75XF9005 TV that initially only showed a grey picture.
Backlight seems to work, Sound (Setup menu after reset) works.
If i dissconnect the left FFC cable from TCON to panel i have half a screen on the right. If left cable is connected always only the grey screen.
Interchanged the cables, its always only the right side that is working. Always grey if left side is connected.
With my small knowledge i would think at least the cables are good.
Can this happen because of a bad tcon board?
Or is it always a bad/shorted... -
by TR103Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
- sound and backlight, but no picture
- when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
- it keeps rebooting
- without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
- without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
- when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.
- without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered... -
by IerwinHello everyone,
Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged... -
by jchangHi all
I was just given a Samsung TV with the issue. I read various threads and videos and attempted the ribbon tape method to gain an image, but no luck.
Symptom:
No picture no sound.
When I plug in the power cord, Backlight LED turns on for a half second and then turns off. The red LED next to the power button located center bottom flashes 2 or 3 times. When the power button is pressed after, it does the same thing.
No sound at all.
What I tried:
1. I tried unplugging the left or right ribbon... -
Hi,
I have a VIZIO E70-E3.
Symptoms: Black screen, no picture, but LED backlights are working.
I probed the power board and voltages are as listed on the board.
Main board appears fine, too.
I believe the problem is either a bad T-CON board, or connection to LCD, or bad LCD.
There are two separate ribbon cables feeding the LCD.
If both are connected, the screen is black.
If only the ribbon cable that feeds the right side of the screen (when viewed from the front) is disconnected, the left side of the screen shows picture and... - Loading...
