Lg 60pv250 zsus

I recently picked up a LG 60" plasma. It had a blown power fuse on the ZSUS or E board. After I replace the fuse I decided to check the circuit to try to see why the fuse blew. I found a ground on the VS pins. Both VS pins are grounded as is both sides of the fuse. I can't seem to find the component thats causing the circuit to be grounded. Also after disconnecting the 6 lead power cable coming over from the PS board. I turn it on and saw these crazy looking black splotches. Have to admit I've never seen this before. I am thinking about buying the repair kit that Shop Jimmy sells for this board but don't want to waste the money if the panel may be bad. Any input is appreciated.

Well I think you've narrowed it to a bad Zsus. The image is just because you have no zsus board running so I'd see that as a good sign really the rest is ok.

I would think if you went by that kit then you should be able to find other devices shorted if you say Vsus is shorted to ground.

Those large transistors would be a start. Either way you need a zzsus or or hopefully repair it or find someone who can like PTS electronics INC

Thank you. That helps assure me that I'm not wasting a kit on a bad screen. I have a very good Pace soldering station with some nice accessories. So i'm pretty good with the soldering part. Thanks for your input.

That kit will do the trick and then some, however I would install all parts if you don't know the board very well. Make sure to screw in all screws back in tightly before testing the tv or you will blow the board again.

I have the 60PZ750, Nick just reworked the Zsus board for me and did a fine job. I re-flowed every device on a heat sink and then some on the Ysus board..tightened every screw on every board. Cleaned the standoffs with Alcohol and Qtips on both Z and Y boards and installed the screws tightly.

Hi there everyone, I have the exact same problem with my zsus board. I was wondering where I can buy the repair kit for the board and also @dbier63, did you end up fixing your fault??? If so do you know what component was causing the circuit ground??
