    Vizio E600i-B3 turning off by itself

    Have owned our Vizio 60 inch for just over a year. Just the other night it turned off by itself and now will turn off within 10 seconds of being turned on.

    Vizio was no help of course and it's just out of Warranty. Anything I can do?

        Re: Vizio E600i-B3 turning off by itself

        I know this is an old thread, but I have one doing the same thing, turning off after a few seconds. Does anyone know if bad backlights can cause shut down in this model, or is the problem most likely the power supply? And if it's the power supply, bad caps or something I can easily change myself, or better to just get a new board? I have a backlight tester at home and this TV is at my work. Wondering if I should start probing the power supply or wait til Monday and test the backlights first? We have a few of this model hanging in the bar room. A couple years ago, I replaced all the LED strips in the other one because the picture had a lot of dark spots, but it didn't cause shut down issues.

          Vizio M65-C1

          Hi.

          picked up another TV. This time is a Vizio M65-C1. TV does not turn on. I had repaired another 60 inch vizio , Bad main board.
          When power button is pressed, the Power led indicator on the bottom right, turns for a few seconds and then it fades away. No backlight or Vizio logo on screen. Removed back cover and repeated test.
          This is the TV This TV is a little different from the Samsung I have worked on. Power supply is on the Left side, Main Bd is on the right side, T-CON , not in the picture is on the bottom. I am assuming that the boards in the middle are the LED...

          Vizio M65-E0 not turning on
          by pedromvu
          Hi, I know these TVs are common to have problems like this, but unfortunately I was not able to find repair guide for this specific model or for something with this kind of power board.

          The thing is this doesn't have the 5vsb pin which is used to determine from which board the issue comes.

          Everything in power and main board was inspected without any apparent problems, but haven't measured everything.

          The voltages from Power to Main board are as follows:

          NC = 0
          A = 0
          BL_on/off = (Some millivolts, probably considered 0)...

          Vizio M65Q7-H1 Red Vertical Strips fixed by tape blocking LC1 signal to half of the panel
          by howardc64
          Failure Symptom

          No picture, just red vertical stripes. Google search shows quite common problem for these recent Vizio M series although red vertical stripe pattern may differ. Some call it "Netflix" boot screen haha.

          Where is the short?

          Panel has 4x buffer boards. Quickly found the 1/4 panel buffer board with the problem by selectively disconnecting buffer board flex cables.

          Having recently fixed another Vizio with similar symptoms that was a shorted ESD diode array ( link ) Probed the ESD diode array but...

          Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
          by Tynan Dill
          I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

          Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

          I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

          The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

          With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

          Assuming...
