    Samsung PN51E450A1FXZA

    Hi Everyone

I have a samsung PN51E450A1FXZA with no picture just a red light when turning the set on. no noise or clicking sound when turning on Tv.

I tested the power board and output seems correct. there are contack points on the sustain's for testing current, and both seem correct.

The logic board has a green light that blinks with 1 second intervals. I am not sure what to test next? I just want to locate the faulty board and replace it.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I had 2 of these sets with similar issues and the x was the problem both times.
When you say you tested the power board outputs, did you jump the board to test VS and Va?
Have you turned the tv on with only logic and main plugged in? Do you get the chim at least from the main that way?

Check transistors for short on the X

      I'd say y-sustain.
The burn marks a pretty big give away.

I noticed the burn marks... powered on TV with just the main and logic and got some sound then connected everything back and turned it on again. This time I had a picture??? it would flicker then stay steady. picture just randomly went off & on. sound works find while it's flickering. sustain's hold a steady voltage " at test points " while screen flickers ..strange...

You can use the logic board test patterns to let you know more about the main board.
Unplug the tv and disconnect the connector between the power supply and main board on the main board end. Short the brown and second wire away from it (which should correspond to the ps on and gnd legend at the power supply end of the connector) with a bread wrapper tie that has been stripped about 1/4 inch on each end or something similar (these are made from a solid core wire instead or stranded wire which can fray)
Then insert an alligator clip into the top two of the four large holes located at the bottom left side of the logic board. These should be labeled 3 and 4.
Plug the tv back in. If the patterns are bright and constantly change from one pattern to the next without blacking out or flickering... then you have a bad main board.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Upgrading a Samsung ue55nu7096u with logic board from an ue55ru7105k -- good idea?
                by ohren
I hope this is the right forum to post in despite not technically being a repair, but still a question of swapping boards.

I thought I'd explore the possibility to upgrade an existing working Samsung ue55nu7096u with the logic board (and power board if needed) of a newer model (ue55ru7105k) of the same size and appearance (and resolution). The reason being I'd like the extra inputs of that board including component in, an extra HDMI port and bluetooth. Its panel is broken so I have no use for the board otherwise.

The models launched in 2018 and 2019 respectively....

                by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                Assuming...
