I have a insignia ns-39d400na14. I turn it on and there is only audio but no video. The back light comes on. If you push the menu, volume, and channel button nothing shows up on the screen. But it will change the channel and the volume will change. I guess at this point I'm not sure how to diagnose it any further. I attached a couple pictures if you need more let me know.

It is integrated T-CON to the panel, not replaceable. Do you see that very small green fuse F1 with 'O'? printed on top right next to the big black diode on the left of the connector? Check to see what DCV you have at both ends with ref to the chassis GND.

Re: insignia has audio but no sound
well... that thing is screwed. Only thing you could do now is to check the LVDS cable with the oscilloscope, while turning on and off the menu all the time. You should find the video signal and see if it changes. Then you know for sure the main board is good.Comment

so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!!
what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!
i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...-

by i_am_patchHi All. I had a Roland KR-3500 Digital Piano (similar to the KR-4500) that exhibited a Crackling audio sound on all keys. After reading somewhere about someone with a similar issue who had replaced all the Electrolytic caps I decided to also go down that route. (Spoiler : It worked !) After some basic troubleshooting I determined that it could be noise feeding thru from the Keyboard scanning since the Demo tunes played back undistorted and the Audio amp / speakers were fine ( Inserted an Audio signal into the rear Audio input). After extracting the main board from the shield, I replaced 7 Capacitors...

by PiaskosHi, i've got problem with Dell Vostro 5490.
Board - Mantis CML 18788-1
Windows says "no audio device detected". The other functions work properly.
What i've done:
1. I checked motherboard
2. I changed audio codec (ALC3204)
3. I reflashed bios with clear ME
4. Audio is enable in bios
5. Both speakers are good
6. After installing the drivers from the Dell website, the devices visible in the manager:

by dicky96Hi guys I have a VLP1500 amplifier here - one channels works fine and the other channel distorts even at low volume settings
Protection and Clip LED are off
There is something wrong with the BIAS voltages around T16 and T18 (in particular) on the bad channel
I tested all diodes and transistors in this area in circuit with diode mode - both channels seem identical. Same in resistance mode across all the resistors here.
The output DC voltages on pin1 and pin8 of the 5532D dual op amp at the input of each amplifier module are the same, and the audio...-

by CapLeakerGot a bunch of Motorola Minitor V pagers from Fire Departments here trying to fix some out of the non working ones. These pagers are known for either no sound / audio or they donโt charge. The internet is full of suggestions like metal shavings inside the speaker?
Anyway so I took one of the Minitorโs apart for my amusement in order to see why that is and nobody can fix em.There are no service manuals or schematics for these that I know of. Howeverโฆ I did find the problem!
On the main board of this unit where the speaker connects to there is a metal shield.... - Loading...
