    SONY 46" 7 red flashes.. KDL-46EX703

    Hi All,

    I have a SONY KDL-46EX703 that soon after switch on it switches off and you get 7 red flashes, I have seen another post titled "SONY 46" LED TV 7 Blinks" this refers the the HLR or BAL PCB. I noticed the attached service manual but could not see my model number on it but similar ones.

    I have checked internal fuses and also for any obvious bulging caps, but still the same. Am I right that it is not the correct service manual?

      Hi Guys,

      Anyone have a suggestion or service manual to help find the issue as it is a great set and would be a big shame to dump it.

          Help!! cannot find a service manual anywhere, anyone shed some light on the fault I have or know where to get a service manual with error code/flashes.

              7 blink code main board or power board fault? we need more info, you say it switches on how? screen lights up? shows image ? for how long ? you say you have checked fuses most Sony mains have loads of SMD fuses on both sides of the boards, they are normally well marked around the edge of the board with arrows pointing to the fuses, have had one with open LEDs on edge light strip. the clue to this is a back light flash then shut down.Do not recall a blink code with that fault, but I do not trust any so called blink code.more info and photos would help

                      I recently received an XR-77A80J that wouldn't turn on. (Repeating 5 flashes when plugged in.)

                      I did a hard reset by holding the power button for about 30 seconds until the set powered down. I then tried to turn it on and it powered up, bringing me to the setup screen. There's not a lot of detail on the setup screen but the picture didn't have any distortions, so at least a cursory examination suggests no physical damage to the screen.                       Hello, my Aunt recently gave me her broken Sony XBR-65A8G OLED after getting a replacement. It had a 4x led flash error, a replacement T-con didn't fix the error but with helpful info from this forum I found one of the smd ceramic caps on the panel pcb (C575/C378) on a 24v line was shorted to ground. I removed that cap and the tv turned on without error. It still had a black screen with the original t-con back in it, once I put the replacement t-con in it finally had a picture. After doing a panel refresh it had a very good picture but with a few vertical lines for some scenes. For owners with...

                      Sony OLED XR-77A80J - Initially dead, now 4 Flashes

                      A) TV initially dead
                      B) On a hunch of a locked up Google OS, plugged in a USB memory stick with latest FW and plugged it in. It booted into the update screen, completed the update and restarted to Home screen.
                      C) Was able to perform a Reset from Settings menu and completed out of box configuration.
                      D) Ran a 4K screen saver demo for about 6 hours, then turned it off for the day. Did not notice any stripes, dead zones or other artifacts in the image.
                      E) Powered back on and it now runs for a few minutes before relay clicks, screen goes blank, Main Board Red Digital Optical...

                      Buenas mi nombre es carlos me uni al foro porque estoy buscando el schematic de una sony vaio pcg-41217u otras formas de escribirlo son 1p-0117j01-a012 mbx-237 numero de placa revision 1.2 o Sony VPCSB (MBX-237), en fin me gustaria y ayudaria un monton si alguien me puede dar dichi svhematic para hacer las mediciones de una laptop de la mencionada anteriormente(Sony VAIO PCG-41217U) con el fin de repararla dejo de funcionar solo prende el led de la bateria al pulsar el boton de power el disco empiesa a hacer ruido de actividad pero los leds del frontas no reflejan acividad y no enciende la pantalla....
