    Emerson LF501em4f wierd problem

I have an Emerson LF501em4f that I determined had a bad main board. Power supply seems to be working fine. I purchased a new board on eBay, installed it and plugged the TV in. TV came on everything looked good accept the video ribbon cable was apparently not inserted properly, so I turned off the TV by hitting the power button. I re-seated the video ribbon cable and then turned the TV back on and nothing! Back to where I was before the replacement main board: constantly blinking red led (~ once/second).
Re-checked power supply voltages still look good.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Ugh... one of those... I hate these types of TV's. They use these ribbon cables between the PSU and the main board and probably the pin outs aren't marked. That makes it harder to troubleshoot.

Try disconnecting the Tcon board from the main board and see what happens. The Tcon board is under the metal shield.

That ribbon cable between the PSU and the main board, see if you can find a pin out marked on the boards.

Well, finally got back to this beast.
Yep, no markings on either board. I did find 12VDC, 21VDC and 3.3VDC on the PS board end of the ribbon cable.
I also unplugged the TCON connector and that didn't change anything.
I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what failed on the main board after turning it off and then on again. That is very odd to me.
I checked the output on the regulators on the main board and those voltages seem fine, too.

Problem with LG Plasma 60PM6700 - Random power downs
            by theone111
I have an LG Plasma TV 60PM6700 for the past ~12 years.

In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.
            1. Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again.
            2. Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait about 10-20 seconds and turn it on again to solve.
            3. Problem: TV shuts down

            Thinkpad X1 Carbon "LMQ-1MB 12298-2 48.4LY26.021" VCC3M problem
            by Zeonalbasta
            i have a problem with thinkpad X1 carbon gen 2 "LMQ-1MB 12298-2 48.4LY26.021"
The laptop was turned off because the MOSFET was not transmitting voltage. After checking it turned out that the gate pin on the MOSFET was the problem, because it was producing an inappropriate voltage. and it was discovered that the problem was with the Think engine, so I decided to reprint each pin, and finally the mosfet could work properly. However, there is another problem, even though the voltage has been supplied to the laptop, it still won't turn on, there isn't even an LED indicator. After double...

T-con suspect issue. Both ribbon cables no picture. One ribbon cable ok. (58pus8545)
            by Tr0ll
Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.

The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.

            Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.

            First replacement T-con:

I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)...

            Lenovo T580 - LCD Panel problem - error 0288
            by perzyk23
            Good morning,
I have a problem with Lenovo T580, which after error code 0288 suggests a problem with the display. I checked the display and it works on another laptop. I replaced the display cable with a new one. I programmed another BIOS (downloaded from this forum) and I still have the problem of a dead display - there is an image via HDMI, and the system does not detect the built-in LCD at all. The problem appears to be hardware. What can I check to confirm or disprove this? I found many threads on the Internet related to this problem 0288, but without specific solutions. Please advise....
