Hi i had problems getting this tv to turn on now on I'm having a problem with doing anything at all. I downloaded the latest software onto a usb stick and left the tv hoping it would resolve the issue after 2hrs its still the same. Any ideas???

Does it give a flashing fault code at all?

no just a solid blue light

Solid blue LED usually means it is functional and hasn't detected a fault. We need more information. I assume you press POWER ON and it changes the indicator LED from Red to Blue? Do you get any sound? Does there appear to be any response to the remote control?
From what you have told us it appears the Standby 5 volt supply is operational.
What do you mean in your description line when you say "circled arrow"?

I see this is a fairly new set with Smart TV functionality. My experience has been that sometimes these Smart TVs aren't so smart and get caught in software loops at start up. I read a review that was critical of just how long this model takes to come on-line after you press the power on button. I'd be starting to suspect a software problem. A new set like this is unlikely to be hardware. Be interested to see what others on the Forum think? But you've tried a software re-flash without luck so I don't know what more to suggest?

Look at Ebay theres many different main boards listed for this model. Is there anyway of knowing which one is the right one

not with out taking the back of the tv really then on the main board you will find some numbers printed on it also on a sticker as the board really needs to match the panel used on the set.

I've took the back off. What numbers am i looking for?

Sony`s normally start with 1-88###### with main boards
So look for that number
P.s are you sure its the main board at fault ?
Before buying one

sorted it. the main board what somebody had put in was the wrong board. All working now
