Read this entire thread and so you have 123 volts output? to leds? if yes then you need to replace the leds. Seiki in uber cheap made sets. 100 to 200 new. However if you replace those leds with higher quality it should last longer.

Ok, i think i will call someone to do the testing.
So TV can be repaired ?
Also TV worked fine for 3 years, and problem occurred after i set a
digital watt meter - can be this a reason that cause the problem ?
        Thanks.

Also TV worked OK, and after i turned off, next powering On was without Backlight.
Can be that is something wrong with electronics since it did not blackout during wathing TV ?

Is it OK ? Or that is a problem ?

              I have a Seiki SE50FY10.

I am new to the board.

Its been 20yrs since I have used electronic troubleshooting skills, (AS degree).
... so I am not a qualified tech by any means, but an avid DIY. LOL

Posting here due to being a noob on forum (thus cant start new thread)...

ISSUE CURRENT: Blue light comes on, no sound, no picture.
              Background:
              ~TV 2 to 2.5 yrs old.
At 1yrs old... had pic but no sound... then sound and no pic, then both went out. Was a bad solder joint for the power connector. easy enough.

Now, I assume the flashlight trick is shine a light at the tv screen face???
              if so, nothing, just black.

I do get AC voltage at power connector that was bad last time and no evidence of any other bad solder or burnt parts.

Ideas where I can start... I was going to order a power main board
but it sounds like fun to perhaps troubleshoot some if the team here can guide me.

Seems LED's are quite a problem in these, but symptom is different since I have no pic from flashlight test?????
