    Vizio SV421XVT Not turning on

    Hello,

I have this Vizio Tv SV421XVT that does not turn on. Front orange light is on and does not change to white after pressing power button as vizio tv's usually do.

Power supply and backlight tested good. I used jump on PS-ON and BL-ON. My next step is the main board. I looked for bad voltage regulators but I'm not sure if they are good or bad. Here are the reading:

    U4 (L213 G9117)
    IN: 3.3v
    OUT:1.2v
    ADJ: 0v

    U7 (L213 G9117)
    IN: 5.1v
    OUT: 3.3v
    ADJ: 2.0v

    U2 (L213 G9117)
    IN: 5.1v
    OUT: 3.3v
    ADJ: 2.0v

    U6 (L213 G9117)
    IN: 12v
    OUT: 8.1v
    ADJ: 6.9v

    Thank you for your help.

    Symptoms EEPROM replacement MAY fix:
    - TV won’t power on with remote or buttons (LED indicator remains same color)

I have gotten probably 5 vizio tv's out of 8 in the last months with bad EEPROM chips. This is not a solution, but just a suggestion. They are very cheap so in my opinion worth a try especially since these main boards are super expensive.

Have you gotten any new information about the tv, or have you decided to give the EEPROM a try?

        Hi Nick.
Thank you for responding. It was on my mind to try replacing EPROM but in my experience only 1 out of 8 have worked for me. I ordered it anyway and will report back the results. Thank you again.

Forgot to ask but when you jumped PS-ON and BL-ON did you get backlight?
As for the EEPROM fingers crossed.

Yes. Backlight works after applying jumps on BL-ON. Replaced EPROM, it didn't work.

I tried the trouble shooting performed on the link below and i get backlight, front orange light remains same color and no display or picture at all.

Damaged EEPROM on TV Vizio E320-A0
                by edgarmg15
                Hi everyone

I´m trying to repair a TV Vizio E320-A0 that I found in the street

The symptoms are it doesn't respond with remote or buttons, the LED indicator is always off and also there is no image on the TV.

The power supply board works fine (I probed the terminals with my multimeter) but in the main board the EEPROM doesn't works correctly because the voltage on the pins doesn't match with the parameters of the datasheet.

So, I´m going to replace the EEPROM with a new one, but the problem is that my programmer (CH341a)...

                Vizio a320-a0 eeprom
                by RDC55
                Hi everyone,

I was trying to repair this Vizio 32 inch and have isolated it to the EEPROM. The symptoms are it does not respond to the power button and so no backlights or any indication that the button was even pressed. Applying freeze spray to the EEPROM while the set is unplugged, and then plugging it in and all is well.

Now I know I can buy pre-programmed EEPROMS for $15.00 or so, but I wanted to do this myself. So, the original EEPROM is Winbond 25Q64FSIG. I ordered this but received a 25Q64JSIG, which has slightly different timing characteristics. Well, being hopeful...

                93C46 and 93C56 EEPROM
                by SidneyCanadas
I tore apart my instrument cluster for my 2008 Toyota Corolla made in 2007 in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada and pcb location: IC6=EEPROM is a surface mounted device with part # of 93C46W7, some claim the EEPROM out of a Camry part # 93C56 will allow odometer to roll over 299 999 KM or miles. The data sheet for both is below:

                https://cdn.badcaps-static.com/pdfs/...c6e42b20d3.pdf 2

Anyone know if the Camry one will work on my Corolla?. And which EEPROM reader/writers do you all recommend I purchase that will allow me to read the old values of the old...

Pioneer DEX-P99rs "No EEProm " diagnostic code.
                by dmccul2698
Hello, My head unit developed strange behaviors so I ran the built-in diagnostic package which returned "No EEProm". The service manual says there is no EEProm connected. I approached Pioneer and they said to swap out the DSP board. All said and good but the DSP board is $860 USD. I am hoping someone can help me

1). Understand the schematic and check the connections between the EEProm and DSP
2). Check the functionality of the EEProm

I don't know if this is the unit's problem but it's a place to start.

I have little to no electronic experience...
