    Vizio E320VL powers on but not past splash screen

    I have a Vizio E320VL that just stopped working. When I power it up the Vizio logo on the frame turns from Amber to White and the Vizio logo splash screen comes up for a second and then goes to a dark blue screen. No video comes up and menu options won’t display. I also can’t power off the unit unless I unplug it but it will turn itself off after about 1-2 minutes.

    I’ve checked all the regulators on the Main Board and they check out as normal. I’ve read a lot of posts on here talking about the U33 regulator going bad but this unit doesn’t have a U33 regulator. I’ve also read a lot about the U18 EEPROM being a problem.

    Do these symptoms sound like an EEPROM issue? If so, is there a way to test the EEPROM?

    Any help would be much appreciated.

          I replaced the backlights all good. Two months later set was dead, had a shorted D9100, replaced all good again.
          Now months later set powers up,backlights light ok,no picture. 12volts missing from fuse on tcon. 12VA on power
          supply is 19 volts. Changed D9100 again, same, 12 volts measures 19. Am I looking at a power supply or mainboard
          issue. Set will power up with remote but not power off....

          I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

          Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

          I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

          The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

          With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

          Assuming...

          i beleive issue is bad inverter section on the ps

          i power tv on and the vizio logo goes from orange to white and i can see startup the vizio logo show on the tv screen (no backlight)

          i have 12v and 5v and 3v blon at the ps

          after about 2 min of tv not connected to vidoe source it goes to standby and vizo goes to orange i believe this is notmal

          doing a brief search brings up a repair kit for the ps/inverter obard on shop jimmy so i assume this is a common issue

          here are pics of the stock board and repair...

          I have a Vizio D32f-E1 LCD TV that does NOT have a TCON board.

          This TV recently went through some 'death throes' and now won't boot. The first problem that began to manifest was while watching tv, the screen would 'freeze', and the image would dim over a few seconds until it was very dark. HOWEVER, the audio of the show would continue as normal. I could power off the TV for 5-20 seconds, power back on, and the video would be normal. This would occur 1-3 times when the TV was first started, and would not happen again after the TV was 'warmed up'. Not ideal, but this glitch was manageable....

          Hi All,

          I have a Vizio E320-A1 which lost sound and picture. The power LED comes on and stays on but nothing else works. I am not able to power it off unless I unplug it.

          Here are the voltages when the power is on

          1 - 5.25
          2 - 5.25
          3 - 0
          4 - 4.8
          5 - 25
          6 - 25
          7 - 0
          8 - 0
          9 - 0
          10 - 12
          11 - 12
          12 - .9
          13 - .5



          Can someone let me know if the issue is with the mainboard?
