    Part RJP30E2 IGBT replacement part

I found 4 shorted parts on a YSUS board in a samsung plasma TV. I cannot find this part at digikey. Is there a replacement part I can use for this?

possibly, have you rebuilt this particular type of board before? what board is it?

Re: Part RJP30E2 IGBT replacement part

its for a YSUS board from a Samsung PN42C430A1D , Board part number LJ41-08592A, LJ92-01737

I have replaced IGBT in other board before but parts usually blow again after installation. The customer is a cheap skate and doesn't want to pay more then $100 to fix. I would rather order a new board but sometimes people are cheap and I don't want to turn away business. I read another thread where people were successful replacing the IGBT and tv worked after.

I actually have the FGPF4536 parts in my stock. Only problem is these parts are not insulated so I will have to find something to insulate.

Funny, this is the series I had in my mind where the ybuffer, y and x can be all suspect and the x is known to be an issue which can take out the y.

I tried replacing just the blown IGBTs on one of these and it was a fail in fact i think my tinkering killed the Y. end result was new y & X needed, buffer in this case was ok.

Then firmware upgrade. TV had a whole 1200hrs on it from memory.

Maybe the customer needs to be realistic. What happens if it goes bad? Who's footing the bill for the wasted parts and time spent?

anyway hope it does work out for you but there's a bunch of driver ICs and who knows what else under the board. that resin they put on is tough to get off to read the chips, that's what i found.

do you have a link to the successful repair as I'd be interested to read it.

Interesting , I was wondering if full plastic or not but datasheet says it is but then maybe there's other versions?

images of it show full plastic, ebay items also are FP.

can we get a pic of what you have?

                Could use insulators.

Its actually plastic, I was going by the pic shown on digikey, which is wrong. I actually replaced the IGBT and diode on the YSUS board and the TV powered up and no clicks. Before I added the XSUS to the circuit, I decided to check the IGBT on XSUS, good thing I did because I found 3 shorted parts on XSUS board. There are 2 RJH30E2 and one part number on part is 45G122. Is the RJH30E2 swappable with the FGPF4536 as well or not.

Does anyone know a part replacement for 45G122. I am only seeing these parts in China.

So ysus and xsus shorted is that the deal? I see this blowing. that's what i had and a straight IGBT replacement just blew all these bits.

What do oyou mean by powered up? vsus stayed up or not? unusual as any board disconnected will not let vsus stay up on these.

or do you mean you heard the startup melody?

would probably work but the H has a built in FRD, don't ask me how important that is probably for protection.

is the 45G122 shorted, do you have any other 45Gxxx Toshiba IGBTs around say from panasonic SC board repairs?

I heard the startup melody and yes the 45G122 is shorted.

I can't remember now the layout but if the other 2 IGBTs are removed and this is shorted so be it.

I may have replaced it with a 45G128 I had but only because i was keen to have a go like you. Academic really because it all popped on me.

Hi guys if been doing some testing on a 42 Samsung plasma that had the same problems, did some testing on the y subs and the x sus .on bothe boards the RJP30E2's are all pooched .all across gate collecter emitter are all short .. This don't make no sense at all .. Cheep design or what .there should be some other IGBT better then this to replac it with

Nothing wrong with the allocated parts or design--not 'cheep' as you put it--they are fine for the jobs they do.

Ali I beg to differ, the parts that are failed get stressed badly in these especially when displaying white/bright screens. If Samsung would have added about 3 more of the same device in parallel or heatsunk them better these sets would last longer. These Tv's give a bad name to Plasma reliability wise image wise they are ok well when they work

Nah--Probably the Timing in F/W causing thermal stresses/shoot-through/latency issues...
(Just like the Hideous Sams. D/E series sets, but less of an issue with these)

The Devices are well up to the job they are doing in that chassis if you consider their P-Diss and I/p. As I recall, they are paralleled two devices per 'side' of the bridge...
--They certainly get Hot--But no hotter than the old Panasonic PZ80 series said to be the most reliable plasma made--Now--They run HOT!...

Nah--I reckon--like the later series--F/W timing is the issue, which we cant alter as they didn't specifically issue one for this issue like they did for D/E series as far as I know...

They Are about 6-7 years old now--Very good by todays standard!

Unknown transformer : how to find a good replacement part ?

                                          Hello guys,

I would like a quite old but still good 800 W ATX PSU to be repaired. The problem was an extremely heavy coil whine coming from the small secondary transfomer on the PCB.

I desoldered it hoping the references on the upper side would allow me to find a adequate replacement part. Sadly the written references drove me nowhere but to the manufacturer (I-MAG). I sent them a message like a bottle in the see asking them to send me a datasheet of the transformer. And... They responded ! I received a kind of datasheet (see attachment) but my competencies do not allow...

Hello guys. I'm a complete noob in electronics. I'd like to repair my child Lunii's (a "story box"), basically an audio player that allows the childs to choose between several options the places, characters, objects of the story, and then play a story according to the choice of the child. There is a screen that display the selected option before each choice. The Lunii fell and the screen is now broken.
I'd like to repair it (probably just have to change the part, because the lunii still works perfectly fine) but I can't manage to identify the part/order it online. Do you have any...

                                          Hi There!
I'm trying to help my friend who owns a restaurant be just bought.
He has a very long LED strip running along all the walls and columns. The strip is attached facing down 2in above the floor, using a wall panel that ends in a metal rail that finishes the panel underneath
It's stuck using, I guess, the 2 sided tape that comes with the strip
The issue is that like 1/2 of the full length, including 1/2 one wall, another entire wall, and one column, flickers after 4 or 5 minutes ON. Particularly it flashes staying OFF most of the time and flashing ON for 1 tenth...

So My iPad was not charging and booting up . i went to a local technician and he checked with thermal and this Part marked in 1st Photo is Short.
So then i went on to boardview and downloaded the schematics and identified this part in 2nd Photo. Now i am confused what exactly is the part called ? where should i get this from ?

i contacted my technician and he sent me his BoardVIew screenshot in 3rd Photo. In his Boardview the part is called X2826.... Something

SO My main concern is what part should i order what should i search the name for ?

Led TV Board Replacement, same part number and model, different size
                                          by Cvrado
                                          Hello my friends!
I have a question that I think you can answer and help me with!

I have a faulty main board from an led TV. And I found the same part number board and design but is from a 43" TV and I want to use it on a 65". On its stickers , all are the same except the wattage for the LEDs backlight, both state different watts and LED Voltages!

So I presume that the backlight inverter section from the replacement board has lower wattage then the original one, am I right?

My concern is that the board won't draw enough voltage to the bac...
