    BenQ MX763 Projector

I inherited this projector from a friend..so it goes.
It powers up and the "lamp" indicator comes on blinking red. I replaced the lamp, but I am still not getting lamp powered up..took it apart. basically it has three boards..a power supply board, a main board and a lamp driver board. I replaced several electrolytic caps and a power transistor that switches the power to the lamp driver board. Unit starts up, waits 20 seconds and then shifts fan speeds like the lamp has been turned on, but, no fire to the lamp! I am going to take it apart again and take pics..hard to troubleshoot hot as it has a dummy switch and the boards are stacked vertically using pins to connect them..Anyone have any experience with these?

    Thanks as always

      Re: BenQ MX763 Projector

Anyone have any info on a service manual for this projector? I replaced the ballast and lamp..I still think there is something wrong on the power supply. It is very difficult to trouble shoot power on as the main board stacks on top of it.

      Thanks

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
            by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

            Assuming...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board
            by howardc64
All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
            • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
            • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

Replacing all the caps on the BenQ SW2700pt's power board didn't help...
            by Noodneek
My 3.5 years old monitor (BenQ SW2700pt) started to black out for 1-2 sec every minute or so, it was doing this even with PC disconnected from it. I searched online and read that it's probably aging capacitors and there's a workaround to lower the brightness.

I lowered it from 100 to 65% and it indeed helped, but after a couple of months the issue returned... I continued to lower the brightness, but it helped only for a couple of hours at most, then I needed to lower it further... Turning the monitor off and waiting for it to cool down also helped for a short time, after which it...

Epson 5040UB Projector No Lamp Strike Stuck in Startup - Blinking Status/Lamp Lights
            by vestaviascott
Hoping someone here can put me on the right track. I'm trying to troubleshoot/flowchart the "internal projector error" on my newly acquired Facebook Marketplace bought Epson 5040UB projector (3LED, not DLP). Owner said it needed new lamp, actually error code blink pattern indicates "Internal Projector Error, call Epson support". Unit is out of warranty as of 8/19

            Here's what happens:

            1) Power on
            2) Blue power indicator lights and the lens cover motor opens the lens cover, light fan noise heard
            3) Blue status light flashes for appx 4 minutes...
