Samsung 32 Inch LED no picture but sound

    Hi.
As the title says, my 14 month old Samsung LED telly has sound but no picture. I think I have the problem boiled down to the power board. So can somebody that knows their stuff look at the following pictures and tell me if I am right!
The first picture is of the power board itself. The second picture is a close up of the part I think is causing the problem. There is brown stuff at the end of the pins. I don't think it should be there. Is it burn marks? Could this be the cause of my lack of a picture on the TV? Cheers!

Check the DCV of each pin of that orange LED connector, you will have the leave the meter in place while doing this, you will turn the TV on and look at the meter to see if the Voltage jumps up high and then go low on each pin, you will have to repeat the power on power off for each pin. I will not be surprised if it has bad LEDs.
    Is the board BN44-00505?

Thanks for all that info budm! Will check the board number later when I get home from work. So you don't think all that brown stuff at the ends of the pins in the second picture is anything to worry about? As for bad LED's, when I turn the power on the telly I can see light coming on behind all the power and main boards.

'So you don't think all that brown stuff at the ends of the pins in the second picture is anything to worry about?' Just left over flux, you can clean it off with Alcohol.
'As for bad LED's, when I turn the power on the telly I can see light coming on behind all the power and main boards.' So the lights stay on but you see no pictures then? If you look at the front of the TV in the dark, do see faint glows?

Actually yes, the telly does glow in the dark! Is that a good or bad sign?

That means the backlights are OK, but either the T-CON board is dead (blown fuse) or the main board is not sending the Voltage to the T-CON board to run, or not sending the signals to the T-CON. You will need to check the DCV between the chassis and each ends of the SMD fuse on the T-CON board.
