Element ELEFT502 upside down picture with solarization

This TV had multiple problems that I've encountered one after another.

When I first got the TV it had standby light, turned on and off with the power button but no backlight and no picture.

I opened it up and found a transistor Q1 on the main board that was obliterated (see picture)

I purchased a used main board from ebay and installed it, same symptom as before so I checked voltages on the PSU, all voltages were present and correct.

I opened up the panel and found a burnt to a crisp LED so I removed that cleaned up the pads and took an LED from a Vizio LED strip put it back in the tv and powered it up.

Backlights came on and blinded me so I re-assembled everything and powered it up.

No the picture is upside down with solariztion.

What would be the cause of this? Main board? T-Con?

Check the tcon for an AS15 or AS19 ic which could be the cause of solarization.

However it seems this main board is not exactly for this tv in the first place, swapping eeproms may fix the upside down pic.

wonder if it's worth seeing if you can access a service menu, read this for element in the reset sticky for element
      menu 0000
      or
      menu 1147

maybe there is a rest feature. i had a plasma TV which was right way up but all weird and solarised, eeprom must have had bad data, i took a punt and selected rest and it fixed it.
