UN40EH5300 Service Menu / Any Way to Rotate the Image?

Quick question for you guys here. I have a Samsung UN60ES6100 sitting on my bench. The TV had a bad main board and the replacement is around $80-$100. I had a brand new main board out of a UN40EH5300 lying around which is of the same series minus the wifi option. I've installed it in the TV and it works, but the image is now upside down. I realize of course that the T-con was on the top of the screen on the 40" and is on the bottom on the 60". That being said, I saw in this thread the button sequence to pull up the service menu on a similar model.

My question is, does anyone know if there is an option in here (this would be the UN40EH5300 of course because that's the board I'm using) to rotate the display? I'd rather not spend the money on replacement main board if I don't have to. I guess an alternative would be to just sell the TV to someone that wants to mount it upside down but that may be a tough one.

    Thanks in advance,

    Aaron

What about just changing it to 60" model settings?

Hmmm. I hadn't had a chance to look at all the options closely and wanted to ask before I messed something up. I'm at work now but will see if there's a model option when I get home this evening.

Re-flash firmware for UN60ES6100 should fix the issue

Thought I'd let everyone know that after 30-40 tries at different screen selections followed by a factory reset each time, I found one that flipped the image. Apparently, there are more models that use screens with the T-con mounted on the top than the bottom. Anyway, I know have a working 60" smart TV for $10 plus the 40EH5300 board value (which I already had on hand). Only issues are there is one missing USB port and no wifi. Smart functions work fine when connected to Ethernet.

Nice fix, can't complain getting a 60" tv for buttons.

What settings did you change? Incase someone else is forced to buy to 40" board to fix their 60" model.

You enter the service menu on this one by pressing mute, 1, 8, 2 power starting with the TV turned off. Once you are in it, you go to control then select the option to change the screen setting. The one that worked for me was 60HAxxxxx on this one. It still shows the base model as UN40EH5300 but the screen now shows as what I selected. I did unplug it for a few hours to make sure it didn't revert and seems to be fine. Just a note, the 46EH5300, 50EH5300 and I'm sure others are the same basic board as well.

Here's a couple pictures. First is upside down (you can see the Samsung logo at the top). 2nd is after changing the screen setting.

How to access Vizio m652i-b2 service menu
                  by tusiime
The current main board on my Vizio m652i-b2 only has 1 of 4 HDMI ports working. Also, the coaxial port is not working.

So I ordered a replacement board. It boots up the tv, but the display is dark in areas, colors are off, etc. I have seen information online that a setting in the service menu may need to be adjusted. Have tried many ways to access the service menu using remote codes, but none work.

Can someone here provide the confirmed method for accessing the service menu on this tv? Thanks in advance!

                  Hi,
I have just replaced led set of this vestel tv due to age.
I would like to reduce backlight from service mode. I have tried menu 4725 but in the menu i can't change anything.

Any help pls? I don't want to change from electronics inverter feedback resistor ideally.
                  Thanks again....

The image rotation/mirror function doesn't exist in the Menu Server. I can't correct the image.

TV Samsung UE55HU8500L (2014) – service menu + firmware reflashing advice needed
                  by Robby-Gr
                  Hi all,

I’m trying to recover a Samsung UE55HU8500L (curved UHD, 4K model from 2014) after replacing the panel. The new panel is a 55A1UU8EH, which produces excellent image quality — very close to the original.

However, since the swap, the TV enters a boot loop (Samsung logo → restart) unless I enter the service menu and perform a reset.

The service mode had been previously modified — possibly by a technician or during the panel swap — and I suspect some key settings are mismatched for the European (Greece) market.

                  Additional issues:...
