Ignorant question of the day. Can I use a .022uf 800V cap in place of .018uf 630V?

I found a Samsung LN32C450E1D today. It had the same symptoms as the set in this post.

    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...ht=Ln32c450%2A

In that post, budm helped the OP find a capacitor to work in place of the original cap, a .018uf 630 "high pulse" cap.

I found a 223H (.022uf) 800V cap on another board that I had in my cabinet. The set turns on now. Can I just use this cap instead of ordering the one bud suggested from Digi-Key?

If the feedback signal level is generate based on the Xc of the cap then it may not work, it depends on the circuit design. That is >20% higher than the original.
That cap probably has one end connected to circuit ground and another end is connected to the winding of the transformer for half-bridge drive setup and the feedback is taken from the top side of the cap. Are you working on the same board bn44-00338B? If it is then you are OK, the cap is on the high side of the circuit.

That pretty much went over my head, but I think I caught the point. I'll order the replacement cap.

        Thanks Bud.

Yes, same board. That is cool. Thanks again, Bud.

It's a problem that the screen is not output properly.
There is no problem with the capacitor with the naked eye.
There is no problem when I look at it with the tester.
Is there a place where I can download the graphic card scheme?
Unlike WATER PUMP, it's very complicated.

Best tool to place electrolytic SMD caps on a board
              by tony359
              HI all,

I am working on some boards where all 100+ SMD caps have to be replaced (yes, they actually went bad!). I found a workflow to remove them comfortably (two irons, pre-heater and extra hot air for larger ones on ground planes).
When it comes to soldering them back, I add solder to one pad and then I use a plastic tweezer to keep them in the right place while I solder that leg.

The tweezer works - but I was wondering if there is a more "dedicated" tool or whether someone has a better idea. If it was for a bunch of caps then who cares. But because...

Is it possible to have an aux input in place of the radio on the am band range? When connecting to the tape recorder, I have additional tape noise. There is an integrated circuit HA11251 in the schematic. Which pin is the am radio output on?

Best place to source RAM chips? 8GB 820-00850 boards to 16GB or 32GB
              by ugamazing
I'm looking to upgrade several 8GB 820-00850 boards to 16GB or 32GB for personal use. I am curious what the best practice and process is for sourcing new replacement chips, and what vendor(s) you guys prefer? Another question is, how do I find compatible chips and their corresponding part/model numbers? For example, in the 820-00850 schematic, the DDR chip U2600 model listed (EDFB232A1MA) corresponds to 1x32GB chip. Of course, I would need 4x8GB chips to replace the 4x2GB chips currently on the board. How do I find compatible 8GB chips? Is it as simple as searching "BGA178 8GB 2133"...
