Teac DV-B300 bad Daewoo/Partsnic cap

The power supply circuit: http://www.eserviceinfo.com/download...LST-4100P.html (I entered the model number from another - my mistake )
The unit is a Sunlin SR691-B01.
The STB would start with a version display, and would not respond.
The +5V rail was down to +3.3V, because C7 (Partsnic RM) was faulty (it was also discoloured).
Replacing all of the electrolytics in the power supply fixed the problem completely.

Anyone else have a bad experience with such a brand?

thats the power supply of a Hyundai ImageQuest L50A 15" LCD Monitor (manufactured september 2001)

i already recapped it but the voltage still drops from 12V to about 8 to 9V as soon as i connect the LCD -.-
and the 5V rail drops to 3V.

so i guess the PSU is half-cooked because of those failed daewoo caps

Well, have had some of those in a Siemens DSL Modem, but well they lasted four years 24/ 7 in a hot environment.

@Scenic
may be you overlooked a shorted zener diode, have had this in a Humax 5100 DVB-S unit with a similar psu.
There where some 6v and a 15v diode at the secondary side, to protect the other circuits when the psu looses regulation. They short out and have to be replaced.
