    HItachi P50T01UA plasma PSU Murata MPF7722

    hi All, just got one of these in for repair & trying to figure out how to power this PSU up on the bench. Searched the forum but can't find anything on the PSU OR the TV.

    One connector has the following pins STB5v, GND, STB3.3, POWEROFF,AC CLOCK,POD-STBY,REC-STBY. The STBY5v & STBY3.3 are present & correct.
    A second connector has : Vcc5.1,GND,STBY3.3,VCEG0,VSAG0

    triedthe usual tricks STBY to GNDetc but nothing clicks. There's no PS_ON as far as i can see just the POWEROFF.

    Before i go experimenting thought i would ask on here. As usual no circuit info in the manual.

    Cheers

        The Hitachi DW3-A chassis pinout for CN63 is ...

        1 STBY+5V -->
        2 GND
        3 STBY+3.3V -->
        4 Power Off --> only high momentarily when AC removed
        5 AC Clock -->
        6 Power1 <--
        7 Power2 <--
        8 NC

        Therefore ISTM that 6 and 7 could be the power control pins.

            Electrotanya has several service manuals for the DW3-A chassis. Perhaps one is more complete that the others.

              Hitachi 55HDS69 55" Plasma TV - No Picture But Sound
              by KYBOSH
              Picked up a bahemoth plasma TV not too long ago and just now getting around to looking at it.
              No picture but you hear the TV static (white noise) playing loud and clear.
              The back was already taken off (and no screws were provided) as the previous owner had already taken a look.
              But it seems they didn't get too far and just left it.

              When I first took a look I was amazed at how pristine the inside looked.
              Its as if the TV had been in a time capsule.
              Caps looked like they were just pulled off the self.
              Copper coils had no sign of corrosion on...

              Hitachi Plasma TV 42HDT79 firmware upgrade
              by Yanleb
              Do you know where I can find a firmware upgrade for the Hitachi 42HDT79 plasma TV? My set currently has firmware V0112.0001.

              Their service website seems to be on SalesForce now, which requires a login.

              Thanks.

              Hitachi 55HDX99 Plasma Powers on but no picture
              by canadaboy25
              Hey guys, I recently acquired a Hitachi 55HDX99 plasma TV that doesn't work. The TV powers on and eventually goes into standby which is indicated by the blue power led changing to orange. If I plug a VCR into it to keep it awake, I can feed an audio source in and it will play the sound no problem. The volume controls on the TV work as well so it is obviously just a display problem.

              I found the Hitachi service manual online which is also hosted on tom66's manual archive. Compared to the Panasonic service manual I had for the last plasma I worked on, this one is underwhelming to say...

              Hitachi 42HDT52 Plasma TV - HDMI initially has no sound on Power-up
              by Howard_Woodard
              Hi all. Up until 3 years ago I used component video as the connection between my Comcast cable box and this TV and never had any issues with it -- it always worked perfectly. Then I upgraded my cable service and the new box had only an HDMI connection. The Comcast remote controls both the cable box and the TV. About 50% of the time, when I would first turn the TV on I would get video but no sound. After trying new cables, a new cable box, and switching between the two HDMI ports had made no difference, I changed the video source to see if that made any difference. It did not but I did notice that...

              Hitachi 55HDX99 Plasma Tries to turn on then shuts off
              by canadaboy25
              Hey guys, recently I repaired a Hitachi 55HDX99 Plasma TV with help from you guys on this thread. https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=75627
              The problem ended up being a shorted buffer IC on the upper buffer board.

              After the repair, the TV was working fine and we used it on and off for about 20hrs. However, the last time we were using it, the TV just turned off in the middle of watching a show. There was no power at all and the power button did nothing.

              Unplugging the TV and plugging it back in makes all the relays click and the power light starts...
