    Samsung LN-T4069F Screen startup problem

I got a Samsung LN-T4069F with a strange startup problem. When first turned on after a long interval, there is blooming that begins in the lower right corner and eventually envelopes the entire screen. If you leave it in this state for about 10 mins, then power cycle, the TV turns on as normal with no discernible defects. If you power cycle the set before about 10 min, the same blooming occurs.

I have provided the follow video of the problem to assist with troubleshooting:

    Just an update,

I have inspected all the boards and nothing looks unusual (no bulging caps). I have reseated all the connections and the problem still persists. Any ideas?

Re: Samsung LN-T4069F Screen startup problem

      I have the same problem...

I have a Samsung LN-T4069F. When you turn on the TV we get a cloudy grey screen like this -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JdFcCmNdkc. If I turn off the TV at this point, it will turn off/on repeatedly. Only after turning on the TV and letting it warm up for 15-20 minutes with a grey screen will it work fine. I replaced all the electrolytic caps on the power supply board but it didn't fix the problem. In the comments, someone posted that they replaced certain caps on the BN94-01442B board as in here -> http://www.riddledtv.com/forums/sams...fix-t3301.html.

I'm going to look into replacing caps on the logic board. So far I see the caps(Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors - SMD) available on Mouser.com for about 0.50/piece

Thanks for the link. Do you have ESR meter to see when you start removing the suspected bad caps to see which one is/are bad will be great?

Change the FRC board above the mainboard. It connects to the T-Con and the mainboard. I just fixed the same TV last week with the same issue though mine was grey and blotchy right from the start. I purchased the board for $10 via eBay. My part number was BN96-06669A

BTW, the picture in the RIDDLEDTV link is FRC board.
$10 is really cheap! good price. $40 @ SJ.

                Samsung UE55JU6800K half screen dark
                by Chrissygizmo
Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same...

samsung galaxy ao2s very temperamental after screen replaced
                by Chrissygizmo
Hi , I've recently replaced the screen in my Samsung galaxy ao2s, at first it wouldn't even turn on, it had the charging symbol on the screen when plugged in but the green circle wasn't going around to show it charging....
Ive eventually managed to get it on and working but it's very temperamental...

The battery icon always reads as 50% , when the phone goes into lock screen mode i sometimes can't get the screen back on unless I plug the charger in to get it to light up, also it keeps putting the camera app on.. u think it could be something to do with the side buttons. ...

Lenovo Thinkpad E14 Gen3 stuck on "To interrupt normal startup, press Enter" screen
                by BMCappelletti
                Hi everyone.
Lenovo Thinkpad E14 Gen 3, stuck on the "To interrupt normal startup, press Enter" screen.
Found a lot of people with this issue, but with no definitive answer. Some people managed to get away accessing BIOS, going to Startup and turning off "Option Key Display". For me that only removed the interrupt normal start up message, leaving only the Lenovo logo.
Most people say hitting Enter does not work. It's true, if you wait a few seconds. But if you hit Enter right away you get the options to enter BIOS (which works), run diagnostics (goes to a...

Samsung LH82QENELGC/EN Help needed - Static line on screen
                by Kiberge
                HI guys!

I've got a Samsung LH82QENELGC/EN with a problem and need some advice and I hope this is the forum to use?
I'm from Norway so I'd like to apology in advance if my description of the fault is kind of simple or the names on the components are way off. 😊

the TV is powering up, working as normally and picture is all good, except a 1.5-inch-wide vertical line of snow/static across the screen.

This TV is a Signage Display/Public Display version and it's been used at my work for 4-5 years showing commercials 24/7. The fault occurred when...

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
                by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...
