Re: Working on a Tc-p50s30
Well I pulled the chip with a hot air desoldering station to see if the chip was the problem. And it was soon it was off the short was gone.Due to not having proper equipment I lifted some solder points under chip but that is ok.At least I know that is the problem and will check that point for short and if shorted will put in box and fix when I get ird machine in the future.Comment

by SuperAmanI have had an issue that I've never come across in all my years of laptop repairs and it has happened twice in the last couple of weeks. The issue occurred on 2 laptops.
1. The first laptop a Lenovo Yoga 7 convertible 14 inch 13th gen i7. This laptop came in working, customer wanted to replace the top keyboard assembly for cosmetic reasons so I replaced the keyobard assembly and put their touchpad in it. After booting into windows it would not work, so I assumed I needed to update it or something. Since they didn't give me the Admin account, as it was a company laptop and the...08-31-2024, 07:30 PM -
by MireniaHi everyone,
I've got a little "problem child": my Dell Latitude 7420 2-in-1, which had a faulty mainboard.
I replaced it, but ever since, the touchscreen no longer works — and honestly, I’m running out of ideas…
In Windows Device Manager, I just see an I2C HID Device with error code 10. Sporadically, the touchscreen is recognized correctly for just a few seconds, but I haven’t been able to determine under which circumstances this happens.
The touchscreen also doesn’t work in UEFI/BIOS, although it’s enabled... -
by sekhar203Hello Everyone!
I'm facing an issue with a MacBook A1706 (820-00923-05) The keyboard stopped working, I replaced it with a new keyboard, after replacing a new keyboard it worked perfectly for some time after that it stopped working.
Any guidance and advice on how to approach this problem would be greatly appreciated06-17-2023, 01:32 PM -
by howardc64All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
- TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
- Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

by MMH3Hello,
i have many 5050sff. all of them, and how i experienced over many years for all about 250 DELLs goin through my hands, are fully flashable and can be serviced in any way when the service_mode jumper is set.
Never ever i experienced problems with that.
Now i have one 5050sff machine, where this jumper isnt working at all.
I do not get the normal messge that the jumper is set when booting and a short test with FPT just confirms this. Everything is locked -->> EVEN for reading !?
The history of the machine is that i used it in my office... - Loading...
