    LVDS Output Of Peaks LD4 IC-8000 (2ws0250)

Can someone provide (help) me with the information on the format of LVDS I/F output from Peaks LD4 IC-8000 (IC 2ws0250). This IC is used in the Panasonic Plasma TV as the main Audio/Video Processor.
There are 24 pins coming out from this IC designated as LVDS Out.

That chip will be custom Panasonic ASIC I expect, so you'll have little chance of getting datasheet for it.

Best you'll get is Service-manual for the set itself.

IF its supposed to be outputting LVDS you can scope it while changing menu functions to see effects on digital waveforms....

---BTW--You dont say--whats actually Wrong with the set.....

Thanks a lot for your replies.
Here is the link to the lvds pcb traces on the A-Board.
              https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bxc...ew?usp=sharing

I am looking at the possibility of feeding the lvds output of IC-8000 to an external LED panel of same resolution and specs. The working A-Board (+ powersupply) is removed from a broken TV (my own tv, the sn board and the display are dead but the powersupply and a-board are confirmed/showed working by panasonic service guy).
I am looking for the lvds specs because if I can find a LVDS panel that is compatible with the LVDS output of this tv then I would be at some comfort that I could reuse some of the parts ... which otherwise is a $900 reduced to JUNK/SCRAP.

if I build/buy a LVDS receiver with a TIA/EIA-644 circuit ... can i further extend that to support a more standard format ... like a RBG or a DVI standard?
              Something like this:

I would be surprised if you could find a panel compatible with the format. Panasonic does a lot of image processing on their A boards, one of the things they no doubt do is use a custom colour and frame format to make image processing easier on the D board. (A plasma panel controller has to separate the 60Hz image into 10 subfields, each subfield representing a weighted intensity.) This requires a lot of processing to do.

Re: LVDS Output Of Peaks LD4 IC-8000 (2ws0250)

During the last week when I was trying to find information on the ic-8000 used in the a-board ... I have come across a panasonic article that said the new a/v processor does all the processing and outputs a standard lvds interface supporting a 1024 x 768 resolution. This is fed to a plasma ai or a led processor that finally displays it on the screen. Initially this was a 10bit lvds signal output but i am not sure what signal type they are using in this th-p42xt50 tv.

I have an old lcd panel with the same resolution of 1024 x 768 with a lvds input. I want to do some testing with it first. I have the driver ( power circuit) for it so I am trying some way to feed the lvds signal to it.

Thanks a lot for the replies ... It keeps me going to find all the possibilities if any.

On the TH-P42XT50, is the LVDS not contained within the main board and the only signals are those for the panel drivers and SS(P) / SN board?

Yes tom66, the main board (A board) contains the LVDS pcb traces that go from Media Processor (IC8000) to Plasma AI processor (see image in the link below). There are pin points along the 24 LVDS lines/traces on the PCB ... I can solder individual wires to these pin points and connect the other end to a LVDS connector and use this to feed an LCD panel. The possibility that this would work depends on the LVDS signal the IC8000 sends to AI processor. I have tried to find this information but nowhere it is mentioned or found.

                          Good morning everyone,
I'm trying to repair an onkyo ht-r390 that has no sound output, despite the volume being at maximum, the rest seems to work; the video output signal (coming from an hdmi input) is present, but the audio is absent. Similar situation if I send an audio signal from any input I have no output.

The firmware reported is the following:
                          M:1.00/11107BLP
                          D:?.??/????????
                          O:1.00/11107AL

The DSP firmware given the question marks seems corrupt.

Hi Everyone, I am new to this forum. I have a Panasonic LED TV which doesnt turn on and is blinking 4 times repeatedly when I turn on the switch. The TV does not respond to the remote control so I had to turn on using the physical switch on the side of the TV. When I turn on the switch the 4 x blinking starts and repeat itself until I turn off the TV. There is a black screen. I turned off the light in the room to check the panel and I think there is no backlight as far as I can tell.

I have been inspecting and testing the capacitors and diodes in the power supply board to try to...

Looks like I may need a little help from the PSU experts (or anyone really! ) I have a Corsair CX750M (Model 75-002019) that I picked up for free about 4 years ago. This is the PSU:

So here’s what’s strange about this one: it appears to work normally (normal output voltages) and any PC is stable with it. However, after a while (typically 10-20 minutes, but time can vary depending on the load), there is a sweetish smell of burned magnet wire insulation emanating from the PSU. Upon opening the PSU after this happened (many times), I was able to confirm...

Hello. A client brought in a lenovo g480 for repair, it would not turn on. I flashed the bios with a clean on found here, and it now turns on. Now there is an issue with the screen. The screen it had seemed to have been removed once before (the laptop has an unknown backround), this screen had an image but all scrambled, you couldn't make out anything on the screen. So I told the client (who bought the laptop as is) that I could get it to boot but he would have to change the screen and/or lvds cable. Now he came back with a new screen and a new lvds cable and it has no image, it just lights up...
