    Viewsonic N2635w cap. question

    Viewsonic N2635w mod. VS11769-1M

I have a few noticeable bad caps. I can tell voltage and uf on all but the one in the picture(white ink pin pointing to it). I know I can order kits or individual bbut want to make sure I get the one in question correct size. This cap is sitting in CS19 on board. Can anyone tell me correct cap size. Thanks

What you need to do is to desolder it from the board and see. Sometimes when they are surrounded and pinned in, it's the only way to read the value. When you are putting them back in, make sure they cap goes in the right way, as they have polarity (+ and -)

EVGA 430W PSU Correct voltages but computer won't turn on
      by objecttothis
I had a desktop form factor mini-server die on me a few weeks ago. Through my initial diagnostics, I was convinced it was the motherboard because when I shorted the Green wire on the ATX connecter, the multimeter gave me all the correct voltages on the various pins of the ATX connector and 5VSTB was also correct. To my surprise the replacement motherboard wouldn't turn on with the case power button either. I threw in another PSU and it turned on right away. This is an 80 Plus EVGA 430W PSU with PN:100-W1-0430. I pulled the cover off and don't see any immediately obvious blown caps or scorch...

Looking for help with a Viewsonic VP230mb where the backlight comes on only momentarily
      by lostone
Hello, I came here after finding some similar questions asked on other monitors and hope someone here can help me get an ancient Viewsonic VP230mp (23" 4:3 LCD) back to working condition.

First a little background, I have a background in computer and electrical engineering, and I'm smart enough to know I know nothing about LCD displays and how they work. For this topic I'm as green as they come.
When the display is turned on the viewsonic logo displays in the uppper left for 2 seconds then the screen goes black, the power LED is green (on) and when a computer is connected...

Correct procedure to disable defective onboard RAM on Lenovo T14 gen 1?
      by NoRelax
      Good day,
In my hands I have a Thinkpad T14 gen 1 (20UD002BIX) showing sporadic BSOD issues caused by failing onboard soldered RAM. I suspect disabling the onboard RAM via a bios mod would do the trick.
The laptop has already the latest updates as well as latest bios 1.51 as of today.
I informed myself in an attempt to DIY my way to victory but it left me with more questions than answers. This is not a BIOS request, what I really need is somebody to verify that the following procedure is correct.

Step 1: grab a bios image:
      - Method 1: from the official website:...
