Toshiba 32w3453d no video or audio backlight on

Hi just acquired a Toshiba 32W3453D smart tv to play with
When powering up backlights come on but no video or sound
Had a quick look inside seems to be vestel power and main boards
My first thought is it is a main board failure, however is there a way to confirm this ie rule out the power board,
All caps look ok on powerboard
Anyone any ideas don't really want to buy a mainboard if it is a powerboard fault

I take it the TV doesnt have a t-con.

If not, going by description sounds like main board fault.

This is a vestel chassis nothing toshiba about this one. Im guessing that its a 17mb95s chassis so probably failed epprom as usual. Can you upload pics of the set please.

if this is a failed eeprom is it possible to reset it by shorting legs of eeprom chip and powering tv up

or is it possible to reload the firmware by using the usb port

You cant do that on these shorting the epprom will kill it totally. I honestly hate the tvs with a passion you have to options:
Replace and reflash the epprom/flash chip
Replace the mainboard with EXACT MATCH

It needs to be an exact match every number the same if not it wont work and will likely toast something.

ok update just changed mainboard for ebay replacement, same result not powering up, backlight on but no audio or video.
bad power board or bad replacement mainboard with same fault, any ideas please

now replaced capacitors on powerboard still no video or audio

Have you checked all the diodes on the psu ?
I had a similar problem with a vestel psu no video but sound turned out to be a shorted diode

Just test the ones i have circled lift one leg out of circuit and test before you buy a replacement psu

anyone know how to check the power board on this tv vestel 17ips11, maybe this is the problem

Why have you ordered a psu did you even test any voltages ?
