Lg 50pa4500 won't turn on.

Lg 50pa4500 won't turn on all the way. Clicks one time and the screen backlights like a primer screen but doesn't come on all the way. TV did come on one time last week and stayed on for two hours then I lost the picture and had sound still. Any ideas

Have you tried the test pattern jumper? (EXT_AUTO_GEN)

What input should I be using to test for sound I had it on TV with an antenna when it came on. How exactly do I do the test pattern jumper.

You can check other guides for LG plasmas on this forum. You want to look for two points marked EXT AUTO GEN and put a wire jumper across them. They are on the control board (small green board roughly in centre of chassis.) You will also need to disconnect the LVDS cable then you can turn on the TV. If everything except the main board is working you should get a sequence of test patterns.

As for the sound, I would connect something to the RCA jacks/component video jack like a DVD player and check that you get sound on one of the inputs (pressing INPUT will flick through them in the menu one by one, so just try a few times even if you can't see the menu.)

Which boards do I disconnect lvds cable from to do test pattern

The LVDS cable r goes between the main av board (with the HDMI ports) and the control board.

Disconnected lvds and put jumper wire on two points on logic board. TV went through sequence red , green, blue, and some patterns. Everything loooks great so I guess it needs a main board!

i have exactly the same problem,, i connected jumper and test mode on tv works fine,,, means tv is ok ,, the problem is the logic board or motherboard,,, ive been looking where can i get it,, and nobody has one,, checked on ebay, amazon shopjimmy,,, no one has one,,, if you have one and/or know where can i get it please let me know,,,

does anyone have for sale LG 50PA4500 UF MOTHERBOARD EAX64280504 (1.0) EBT61875108 after i did the bridge tested screen and power supply works fine i just need the motherboard and nobody sale it, no ebay, amazon or shopjimmy please let me know.
