Ok so vsc and ve are matching the panel sticker?

You'll need to jump on the power supply without the mainboard attached.

      PS-On jump with ground.
      Vs-on jump with 5vstby

Disconnect the main board. And put the test pattern short back in place.

It might be because I just woke up but I did not follow that at all.

to completely rule out the main av board we need the power supply to start without the mainboard connected.
You need to trick the power supply into thinking the mainboard is sending the signals to start up.

So look at the legend table that connects the power supply to the mainboard. It will be near the wire (upload a picture of the power supply connector to the main board if you're not sure)

Then with a piece of wire connect ps-on to ground, and vs on to 5v standby.

The power supply will now turn on without the mainboard.

You can jump it on like this:

(Obviously the picture above is not representative of the holes you'll need to jump)

It's the connector next to it I think,
I can't see the table as the wires are covering it .

Did you manage to replace the resistor?
If so bump your thread back up.

I bumped it back up three days ago and sent you a PM. The resistor has been replaced.

I was trying to figure the wiring out and came across this.

                            auto download PDF

Whats throwing me off is both of the cables have a ps-on. I dont want to just start jumping wires.

Gentleman, sorry to say but, this tv model is notorious for bad panels. I had the same exact model with black horizontal lines, bad panel. mine started out the same way. with one, then two black lines, in a day or so whole panel had lines. If you have lines already don't waiste your time or money. Tom helped me get mine running and picture started out with one black line, then continued from there. I also have most of the boards left. Sorry for the bad news.

But does a bad screen cause the voltage drop that I'm seeing?

Your fault could have been caused by any one of the boards in the tv, or the panel itself. Mine ended up being a bad main logic board. fuse went on the board. I replaced fuse and she fired up with one black line, so we thought buffer boards replaced them, no change. Lines just continued to get worse more and more the longer it ran. The picture and sound were good but full of lines.End result faulty panel. You can find a million boards for this set, for a reason. I have most of mine. All replacement boards were checked befor placing in tv. the ribbon cables were never touched, so no misalignment there. befor purchasing buffer boards, I did go through the ribbon cables just in case, they got misaligned, no change. My replacement boards were purchased from a member here who checks and double checks any boards he has for sale, plus I rechecked them befor placement. You can check out my thread, pictures included.

I was hoping it's not the screen, don't have the cash for a new TV right now. But if it's bad its bad, might see if I can part some of it out.

part it out. you might be able to find another tv cheap to fix. Sorry for bad news, just didn't want to see you put any money into it for nothing.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                                          Assuming...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

I hope this is the right forum to post in despite not technically being a repair, but still a question of swapping boards.

I thought I'd explore the possibility to upgrade an existing working Samsung ue55nu7096u with the logic board (and power board if needed) of a newer model (ue55ru7105k) of the same size and appearance (and resolution). The reason being I'd like the extra inputs of that board including component in, an extra HDMI port and bluetooth. Its panel is broken so I have no use for the board otherwise.

The models launched in 2018 and 2019 respectively....

                                          Hello!
I have been trying to solve this issue the past 12 months to no avail. I have been a lurker here during that time but finally decided to post my problem and see if anybody knows a solution.

                                          Problem
My tv (OLED55CXPUA) has an issue where it displays horizonal lines of dotted artifacts.

                                          (See Attachment 1)

                                          Self Diagnosing
After a very long troubleshooting period I traced the issue to the T-Con board. If I gently flexed/bend the board I could make the display go from GOOD to BAD and vice versa. I have ruled out the connectors/wires...
