yeah i was reading and got Moving Picture Resolution 900 lines mixed up with 1920x1080.

i also though it was 900p because it's hard to get this to scale properly.

i hope the firmwire update will fix all this

the st an gt both have 1080 Moving Picture Resolution!

not noticablet the the human eye but i'm like 4 feet away so i might actually notcie!

im still on the orginal firmwire because i cant find my memory card and they dont suport usb or network update untill a later firmwire.

i notice that scaling sometimes sticks off the left a centimeter unless you flicker scaling a couple times.

i cant wait to see what the update achives, first i gotta ither pay 10 for a 2gb or borrow one.

it also get's stuck when you just alt tab a game but works fine when you close normally.

the brightness fluctuation is another glitch im experienceing!

the up side this panel has no burn in.

i have the setting as low as possible and have been running the 15 min image retention scroll atleast once a day with a constant changing back ground.

someone mentions to do this for the 200 hour break in, it's almost been 72 hours now on and off.

these panels have something like 100000 hour till half life with equals 4 hours a day for 54 years.

these panels are extinct like the dinosaurs so im going to try my best to peserve and educate the future owner on how to do so as well.

my next project is a 54 inch that just randomly shuts off, i hope it's just bad caps.

the owner is not smart enough to get the exact model number but im prety shure it's a full 1080 froma sear of all 54 incher's

i just hope there was no serious neglect to the panel because of how un educated the owner is about tv's so i'm just go take a look and see what condition it's in first.

    thank you again,

    S30 should be 1080p

54" panasonic? random shutdown, could be A board issue, heat affected, you'd have to give us more info in another thread.

Okay ive just been reading to much.

I read somewhere that they got a panasonic to stay on with solid led with bufers isolated but thats a diffrent model, 50gt50 or something.

When people where mentioning that the 8 blink could be faulty panel i got a little strssed out because i checked every pixel with a flash light for faults or crack's and found none and i thougt it might be a internal gas leak.

Im ordering the new su on aug 7, ill get back as soon as it's installed.

I already read the manual onece a while ago,im just going to read it again and maybe learn something new!

The ammout of help i see you provided on these forms is outstanding &priceless you should be paid for the services you provide to the comunity!

Im not going to bother you again unless it's 100% important because the ammout of people that u serve is unbleavable and your time is invalueable!

I could never thank you enough for the knowledge you provided me,if allowed i will find a way to send a dontation for the money u saved me!

I'll simplify this for you. You don't have an 8 blink or any blink issue other than the original fault which has been proven to be the buffers. the whole point of me asking you you hook it all up minus the buffers with sc50 jumpered and then have it stay on with no error blink dictates this.

I think you need to do some reading on how these pansonics work. Any disconnection of buffers from the SC will cause a shutdown as it open ccts the CHA line. SC50 jumpered completes that cct therefor when testing or trying to isolate a 7 blinker if it goes away the only thing it can then be are the buffers and if it remains the SC is bad plus the buffers also can be bad.

Disconnection of the SC20 ribbon will trigger 8 blink it's all in the training guides.

check these. the ST30 looks the same as the gt30 minus heatsinks. Yours has the cap, the others do not so swap that cap and I believe that will make it the same plus you'll have heatsinks

I'm pretty sure I've looked at pictures of these before but the SU from memory gt should have heatsinks and between the 2 the other difference I spooted was one had an additional ceramic cap in cct which is most likely to do with matching the board to the panel as the GT would have a different panel version

so depending which has what for example if yours has it and the gt does not then take the cap off yours and solder it in the same location on the gt and if th gt has it and yours does not then just remove it or just leave it and probably won't tell the difference.

8 blinks is unusual, usually refers to SS board more than anything. Did you make sure to secure the link between SN/SC and SS boards?

    Understood!

Just got home,i fired it up and it did quiet down for a second, weird.

Im just going to order the screw's and the buffer ic.

I did read the whole buffer ic replacment thread and someone mentioned a silicone disolvent, ill look for one that's safe and effictive.

I look around for some more guides on how to remove the ic properly.

Now im getting a 8 blink error code without sc50 jumped when i orginally had 7 can't 100% confrim.

Dose this error refer to bad buffer, when i looked it up i came to a conclusion that it is failed ss, possibly because the ss goes to the panel just like the buffers.

yeah they can, could be loose or maybe because no load , either way the rest of the tV should be fine, just work out if just SU is bad or both sd/su but very recently there was a 50s30 bad Su , sc good.

I'd only check these with a meter, don't try running with just one board just in case something gets damaged, not worth the risk, hard enough to get parts these days with panasonic getting out of plasma Tv

I have to go, have a read , I find those trainers really interesting

    Panasonic TC-P50S1 shorted TXNSC1EDUU (TNPA4782AB) SC Board
    by Yanleb
Hi every one. I just want to share the successful repair of my shorted Panasonic TNPA4782AB SC board.

I don't usually do it but so many parts were shorted that I decided to buy the ShopJimmy repair kit instead of sourcing each components individually. Here is the list of components the kit contained, with a remark indicating if I needed that part or not :

    Hello:

I have both these laptops that appeared to have the same fault so I thought I would have a go at replacing the PCH as something to learn, they both are using the same PCH.

    I started on the ACER:

Up on connecting power no signs of life but current is consumed from the bench power supply and the PCH is hot.
All the caps on the top of the PCH are showing 0 ohms and the 3.3v rail is shorted.

I followed the videos from Sorin, Electronics Repair School on Youtube heating from the bottom to install. I practised on around 10 scrap...

    Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

I picked up a Panasonic NH-P70G2, though it would apply to the NH-P80G2, NH-P70G1 and NH-P80G1 models as well, as maybe some other models. This one was coming up with a H86 error. After lots of testing and googling it was an error with one of the thermistors in the condenser area.
The attached French service manuals is incorrect, TH11 is gray and is a 95k thermistor and TH12 is black and is a 35k thermistor.
In my case TH12 was bad. I was able to get a 35k thermistor on AliExpress. It's 6mm in diameter.
Unfortunately the whole machine has to come apart to fix it.

    Hi to all,
the owner of this machine gave it to me after having opened it to take off the dust from the inside, telling me that after that it didn't start anymore.
I found that one of the DrMOS (AOZ5016QI) on the CPUCORE was shorted between VIN and VSWH, and that one of the two n-mos connected to the power jack was shorted aswell.
I unsoldered the two shorted components and verified that there were no other short circuits, then decided to power the mainboard, firstly with the lab power supply, then with its original HP 200w charger, but the behaviour is the same, the board starts...
