There are posters here who are superb at repairing Panasonics.

The first thing they will ask for are pictures of all the circuit boards.

I'm thinking it'll be A-board and it does look like it attempts to spit out an error blink but fails to do that too which also suggests A-board.

but try this first as the SC board in these can fail and short out the P-board.

Disconnect SC2,,SS11,P35 and 3 white ribbons at the A-board and power on. If it manages to complete the startup and go solid green then A & P are ok, check for shorted SC or SS.

Don't reconnect sc2,ss11 and particularly P35 straight away after a power cycle, there'll be residual voltage present and spiking the panel with P35 can damage the Panel beyond repair. Either check these with a meter first or give it 5-10mins to bleed off. looking at 200v at sc,ss boards and about 50-60v at p35 when running.

If it's the same Then A or P. We have similar models here and 2 common failures I've noticed are Sc and A board. A board seems to run very hot and main processor BGA solders I suspect fracture with heat stress.

Could try warming the A board up and see if any changes occur

hi tw2005 I get the same problem when I do the following -
(Disconnect SC2,,SS11,P35 and 3 white ribbons at the A-board and power on. If it manages to complete the startup and go solid green then A & P are ok, check for shorted SC or SS)
Do you suspect the a board or p board for this fault?
            cheers for your time

it'll be A board I expect but if someone knows how to force the PSU to stay on with all the other boards off, may be worth testing to see all the voltages are stable but a problem with the A board csn do this, I've had endless clicking / reboots and was an issue with the 48 pin flash ic but yours is quitting and cycling much more erratic than what mine did

P board is easy to verify..TW2005 knows these babies. He helped me with a 50" which still looks better than any new tv today!

Here is a method to self test a Panasonic Plasma Power Board:
                    1. Disconnect all the connectors to the PSU Board, except the AC input.
                    2. On connector P7 connect a1Kohm resistor from Pin 1 (STBY 5V) to Pin 5 (F_STBY_ON) and another 1Kohm resistor from Pin 1 to Pin 7 (Panel _Main_ON)
                    3. Using a piece of wire solder connect Pin 1 and Pin 3 on connector P35
4 Connect a light bulb tool across connector P2 (Vsus voltage and Gnd)
5 Plug in the AC supply, If the PSU Bd is good the light bulbs will light up.
                    6. Measure the Vdc across connector P2-It should give you the Vsus voltage approx. 192Vdc.
The light bulb tool is two(2) 220V 100W Light bulbs connected in series
Quick and easy method to self-test Plasma PSU Bds.
                    Regards

Panasonic TH-50PX8EA Black screen, only relay clicks
                      by Rensiee
                      Hello,
I have been reading a few threads on here regarding Panasonic plasma tv's. I've found one thread which explains the same problem as mine, unfortunately the thread has not been completed.
I got a free tv (TH-50PX8EA) from a friend which shows no screen. When plugged in only one red light shows up and when pushing the ON button, the red LED turns of and will only turn on again when pressing the ON button again.

When plugging in the TV i hear two relays click fast and after a few seconds the third relay clicks.
I have measured the voltage in the VSUS line, which...

Carver CM-1090 - Power relay clicking on & off, then fuse blown after 20-30 seconds of power cycling.
                      by beetle1303
I gotten a Carver CM-1090 amplifier from a friend who has kept it in storage for decades. Opened it up, thick layer of dust cumulated everywhere. Vacuumed it semi-cleaned, and blown off as much as possible the remaining dust. This is a 220V version.

On initial powered up with nothing connected - it works with all the lights and button indicator lit up as pressed, etc. I then powered off, connected a CD player into the CD RCA input and powered it on. It seemed to work for a short while and when I turned the volume up and down to see the the VUs works, the power started to clicked off...

                      by DodgyTech
                      Hi everyone,

I require some help with my TV. The TV standby light blicks on and off with a clicking sound (relay?) from the back. After I opened up the TV, I set about troubleshooting by unplugging the boards to try and isolate the problem. My troubleshooting suggests that the logic board is causing the issue, but it could entirely be the YSUS board which is only activated once the logic board is connected.

I have recorded a video which I thought would be an easier way to explain the problem and show the boards at the same time.

I would like to try and identify...

                      Hello guys
Because the unit is old (but only occasionally used) the loudness button causes some noise due to bad contact,
sprays did not work, so i decided to solder the pins that it connects on the pcb at the on (loudness on) position
i did that and it worked fine, i know from the bottom of my heart that the switch connects 2 pins and also d/c other 2 pins
on every position it have (6 pin switch), so i was curious what would happen if i clicked the switch off while the pins are soldered at on (so basiclly on and off at the same time), when i did so the sound is gone, nothing...

Panasonic TC-P55ST50 8 blinks then no blinks
                      by Andre Gilbert
Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing hereπŸ€”?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting πŸ˜‚.
