Re: Panasonic TX-p42s20b keeps clicking
hi tw2005 I get the same problem when I do the following -
(Disconnect SC2,,SS11,P35 and 3 white ribbons at the A-board and power on. If it manages to complete the startup and go solid green then A & P are ok, check for shorted SC or SS)
Do you suspect the a board or p board for this fault?
cheers for your time
Mark

Re: Foehm & Hirsch FH-37LMH 37" lcd no picture sound or backlight
Hi
Just an update and a request for some help ref this post.
I could only purchase a main av board from a 42" set and have fitted it.
The good news is the tv now displays a picture. However the colour images are bad see pic.
I think it has something to do with the firmware as its a board from a 42" and not the 37". I cant get into service menu (as I don't know how).
Could I remove the chip that stores the firmware from the 37" board and attach it to the...Last edited by homerclone; 07-18-2014, 12:42 PM.

Foehm & Hirsch FH-37LMH 37" lcd no picture sound or backlight
Hi
Need your valuable help again.
I have this tv it powers on and then goes into stand by mode (no picture sound or backlight).I have done a bit of trouble shooting.
1. all voltages ok coming from power board (no bad caps)
2. I can get the backlight to work if I disconnect the on/off and adj plug from the main board to the inverter.( with this disconnected screen will light up but will shut down again into stand by mode)
3. With this lead disconnected I get 0 volts on main board from the pin on/off and adj pin. And with this still un plugged if I test the on/off...

Re: Phillips 50PF7320/10 50" plasma no picture or sound
well just a quick update. I removed the buffer boards and the y main board cant find any shorts on buffer boards over the pins. The y main has no bulging caps or any shorted fets etc. I then returned to my original plan of replacing the power board. I got a replacement board but am getting the same results :-(. Howver I stumbled apon this pdf file that show how to test this board and fire it up as a stand alone part. (see file attached) with doing this my original board flashes 4 times on the alarm led indicating the 3v...

Re: Phillips 50PF7320/10 50" plasma no picture or sound
Hi
I removed the boars and non of them are shorting out. I now removed the power supply (lj44-00108b) and powered it up I then used the jumper (on_mode) and the board shut down after the two relays clicked again. The on board alarm pcd flashed 13 times witch indicates D5VL fault.
so I think its a power board fault can anyone advice any fix of this board
Thanks for any help in advance

Basic question about resistor
Hi
I want to test a 1004 smd resistor with a multimeter if I right this is a 1M ohm resistor. My multimeter has a 2M ohm setting. now my question is my multimeter tests it at 0.045 on the 2M ohm setting is it a bad resistor.
Sorry just getting myself confused
Thanks
Mark
