LG 42LV3730 power up but stuck freeze at LG logo

LED TV is able to power up, but it will not boot pass the LG logo.
The screen will remain in the LG logo with a small clock.
All other function on the remote control will not work, except the On/Off button.
the pic is good, backlight is ok, no flickering.
can i assume that the power supply is working fine ?

It seems that the tv cannot load the boot-up software.
    - could be hardware problem in the main board like poor contact ?
    - could be problems in the firmware being corrupted ? i see a NAND flash inside
    - issue with eeprom ?

I saw a youtube on someone with same issue with stuck LG logo, he solved the problem but baking the main board in oven. I will probably do that last resort. For now i hope to seek some advice from the community here/
    Thanks in advance.

if needed, i will post some pics later when i open up the tv.
    main board : EAX64143502

      You have a bad mainboard.
Baking it might solve the problem for a while. But it might come back once the solder under the processor starts to crack again.

For a permanent fix it needs reballed, but for a fix that lasts much longer I recommend baking it too about 120c then use a heatgun and give the chip a good blast to ensure all the solder reflows.

I will go with the bad nand flash memory. what the nand part number? its look like a Hynix

here is the stuck image every time on power up.

I believe the LG gif must be stored in the Flash, my guess is the flash should good to retrieved the gif. but the boot rom is also in the flash, so why did it stop loading the boot sequence. maybe poor contact likely

          flash is Toshiba - TC58DVG350ETAD0

TC58DVG3S0ETA00 That the correct part number, its 1GB NAND memory by Toshiba
            .
Depending on the age of your TV nand memory developed bad block over time and data goes bad within the bad blocks, TV shut down or come to a HALT.

replace main board or replace nand memory chip if you can find someone selling a program nand chip for your TV.

seems like it for my case.
smart tv not so smart after all, with more functions added to basic tv, more components are added to the board, so more chance of components failure.
in this case, a simple nand failure could brick the whole tv, what a waste.

This worked for me. it worked great for a few months. This time I'll take that additional step that Hamie said..
