    Was thinking the same!

Is the service manual for this TV.

Check the manual and search for EV5V! My voltage stops after Q2001 , so voltage never reaches Q2002/2004 and thats why i don't have STB5V on the mainboard.
I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!

        Re: Panasonic TX-P50VT50E completely dead!

Tv is working with the ST mainboard so it was definately a mainboard problem. Mainboard from these tv's turns on the 5vSTB.

Will look for a cheap VT mainboard but already liking the picture. Little sparkles but will fix that tomorrow.

Thx for all the help Tom/Tw2005

          Re: Panasonic TX-P50VT50E completely dead!

I don't know if anyone is reading this thread, though, but I still try.

I was watching the TV, when a few distorted vertical lines appeard in the picture, and in next to no time picture was gone and a relay started to click. Ever since it only does that when I power on the set.

My problem is only that much different, that the power relay clicks to and from, about 1 sec each cycle, turning on and off the TV apparently, power LED blinking quick between the clicks like 6-7 flashes (too quick to be able to count exactly). No red flashes, only green. Remote is being so far recognized, that green blinking stops for a blink of an eye when I press any buttons on it.

I can turn off TV with the power button on the right hand side, it reacts to that, but none of the service modes, i.e. button + remote push combinations seem to work.

I do have voltage tester, oscilloscope, soldering iron and like stuff, which I can and are willing to use, but no background in repairing electronics. :-)

          Any help is much appreciated.

If lines were vertical it means more then likely your main av card died.
It's very hard to find item.

But could it cause this turn on-turn off routine, relay clicking, etc.?
