Funai LC401EM2F - Burnt Resistor, How To Identify Replacement?

Just picked up a Funai LC401EM2F that, due to a lightning strike, won't turn on. I'd like to start off replacing the resistor that apparently is burnt (see pics) but I've never identified a resistor before. Online resistor calculators tell me it's a 1 OHM resistor 5%. Is this right?

Also, when replacing resistors in general, is it okay to use higher wattage resistors? For example, if something calls for a 1/4 watt resistor, can I put a 1W in there instead?

    Thanks in advance.

It looks like a 1 or 2 watt resistor.
    I'd use a 2 watt resistor.

Red black gold gold is 2 ohm.

Looks like you'll have to repair the track, and also I doubt the resistor is the only problem. Check that diode for short and all surrounding parts.

      The resistor R1201 black/brown/gold/silver is 1 ohm 2W 10%.

Man, that is really weird. The picture shows silver when its not, at least not to me. Maybe I'm wrong. See attached.

Picture isn't brilliant but if it's

Brown black gold gold the its 1ohm 5% 2 watt.

I took the resistor in question out of circuit and it measured 1.1 Ohms...seems alright to me.

I'd like to test the diodes surrounding it now. Do they need to be tested out of circuit?

              LED uplighter dimmer burnt resistor
              by CG2
I've got a 240v LED uplighter which isn't working. Pulling it apart shows a clearly burnt resistor on the circuit board, and I'm hoping some of you will have suggestions on what to replace it with. First, here are some photos. Power comes in, through the fuse and choke, then through the big blue variable resistor labelled B500K (ignore the similar blue component at the bottom - it's a simple switch for an attached reading lamp). It then passes through the burnt resistor (or at least did once), through diac DB1 and the unburned 30 ohm resistor to the gate of the triac. Now I assume there's a simple...

Allen & Heath Xone:02 (DJ Mixer) - Burnt out Resistor
              by trickartt
              Hello Badcaps!

I am trying to troubleshoot my Allen & Heath Xone:02 DJ mixer. I have had this for somewhere close to 20 years and have played music through it in one form or another pretty much every single day since I've had it, though these days it's usually from a wireless streaming receptacle (Apple Airport) more than the turntables that are also connected to it.

This week my music stopped working, and after a bit of a wild goose chase, I realised my mixer was dead. I checked the 500mA fuse in the device beside the power supply and found it was blown, so I replaced...

Need help to identify and to locate a 0.33 ohms fusible resistor for power supply
              by gica69
I have a quad charger that is split into 4 separate sections and one section doesn’t charge anymore. I have located what I think is a thermistor and on the shrink tube it says 125 degrees C. I cut the shrink tube and it's a 33 ohms resistor. It measures a little less than 1/2 inch in length. I am including pictures of it. Please help me identify it. So, it should test at 0.4ohms and probably go up in resistance with the rise in temp. On the board it clearly says R for resistor. But it has to be a special one.
Resistor shows orange range silver gold and green lines.
              Thanks in adv...

Help me identify this burnt chip
              by hoak
              Hi,
I have a Asus Q540v laptop which has no power. I opened the laptop and found this burnt chip. Unfortunately, the marking on the chip is damaged. Anyone able to identify this chip?

              THanks,

identify this burnt element on ZOTAC GeForce RTX 2060
              by fraser34
              Hi,

Can anybody, please, help to identify this burnt element on ZOTAC GeForce RTX 2060 6GB 192BIT GDDR6?
It says something like "6UDN..." on it.

              Thanks...
