Philips 23PFL5522D/12 red light and won't turn on

Hello guys I got this Philips LCD TV

From the day we got it (not new), it worked but sometimes won't turn on, or turns off suddenly by itself.

Lately it didn't even turn on ...

I decided to open it and try to find a solution to the problem.

I found a few capacitors that had a big head, and I replaced them with higher capacities or same (always same voltage) depending on what I had on hand.

The tv worked like a charm for a few hours.

Then, my sister tried to turn it on, but same problem as before, red light and won't turn on. I opened it, and all the capacitors I changed seemed to be ok ... I can hear a hissing noise coming from transformers (I think). But I read somewhere that they tend to make noise, when they don't have the right voltage or frequency ... Anyway, I could find anything wrong (I'm not a professional, but I try to manage...)

THen I decided to try the improbable, by using a hair dryer on the power board (DAC-12M058 AF), and it worked !!!

I guess I'll have to use it every time, the tv cools down.

So I'm asking why it does work with the hair dryer, and not without. What did I miss ? What can I check and how (I have a multimeter) ?

If you have any questions regarding my case, please, I'm at your disposal.

    Thank you guys.

    Best regards.

You probably have more bad caps that havent blown their tops but have failed internally. I would suggest that your replace EVERY capacitor on the psu including the small ones they are probably the cause of the issue and you should be sorted

          Macbook pro A1278 820-2936 No light/turn on
          by Adogabriel100
Hey! how are you guys? i wonder if you could help me with this macbook 820-2936 that does not turn on. (Doesn't have green/orange light).

          History:
this macbook came for a short on C6990 that blows D6990 and R6990 on his way. i re-placed the componets and it work again.

A month later comes back again and has the actual problem (no green/orange light and dont turn on)

The macbook can turn on with only the battery connected but in fact, dosent charge.

          Voltajes:

          PP3V42_G3H = 3.3v
          PPBUS_G3H = 12.2V

PS5 Slim EDM-040 Only turn on 1 Sec, Blue light then immediate off.
          by dionzarek
Hello everyone, I am new to this PS5 troubleshooting, I need help on diagnosing the problem. My PS5 Slim board EDM-040 that beep and only shows blue light then immediately turn off.

I've checked the PSU its normal 12V. I've checked all the capacitors its all good no shorts, but there are 2 caps shorted, I think its near the SSD. You can look at the image attachment.

When tested it only shows 0.003 while other caps show 0.4 to 1. WHen in continuity mode those 2 caps goes beep/shorted.

Any help to where should I check on or suggestion would be very appreciated....

Philips 55 oled 804/12 red light blink
          by djordje
          Hello all,

I have Philips Oled 55 (804/12) with black screen and red light blink.

I have opened TV and tested voltages based on similar oled topics, on power supply board i am getting ps_o/f 3.3v and 5v for t-con_o/f while panel_o/f is 0v. And i get black screen.

Also i have done self psb test and i am getting on psb +12V_t and also + 24V for panel. (Measurements on dmm are + 12.3V fot t-con and 22.4 for panel)

When i power only psb and tcon with 4 ribbons for panel i only get black screen.

My questions is what should i do next...

Philips PSU (715G7350-P01-000-002S) No stand by light (0V)
          by blablaro
          Hi all,

This is the source from a Philips TV 43PUH6101 that suddenly stopped.
          I know it's the source since I have ~ 0 volts on outputs 12VA/16VA, 12V/16V, +3.5/+5V

For the latest weeks I've been trying to figure out the problem with this. I've ordered all kind of mosfets, a capacity meter and other things to try to figure out the issue with this PSU. My wife thinks I'm crazi but I want to repair it

Initially, when I started the testing with the multimeter on diode mode (220 V on):
          - discovered that was Q9101 shorted (or I shorted it)
