Frame Rate for "LG 47LN540V - ZA"?

Hi, What is the frame rate for this LG model. Multiple websites have given different answers with some being 100hz and some being 50hz. I want to be able to play effectively on games that run on 60fps.

Edit -- I just want to add that my TV states a Motion Clarity Index (MCI) of 100HZ, so does that mean the native Refresh Rate is 50HZ? In addition, I am from Europe (specifically UK), and I also heard European Tvs are usually 50HZ, but is the same as Americans 60HZ.

Can anyone please clarify whether this is true or not. I really struggle to tell if my TV is playing games at 60fps... Oh and the back of the TV says, the power in put is 50HZ/60HZ. Is the power input related to refresh rates?

All modern LCD TVs support 60Hz input.

The 100Hz mode is a frame doubler, based on motion interpolation. It adds huge lag (100-200ms) so turn it off if you want to use this TV to play games.

The LG TV I have is LED, do they usually support 60hz?

      And thanks.

There is no such thing as an "LED TV". All "LED TVs" are just LCD TVs with LED backlights instead of CCFL. Apart from lower power usage, there is no significant difference between conventional LCD TV (using cold cathode fluroscent lamp backlight) and LED TV (using LED string backlight)

So yes, it will support 60Hz. As would a plasma (which in my experience is better for gaming due to the faster pixel response and generally reduced amount of processing that the main board does.)

          Thank you.

I am pretty bad with my tech knowledge, excuse my ignorance

            Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

            Graphics Card mounting frame
            by Kemer
Hello, I removed the graphics card from my laptop and I want to heat it in the oven. What I want to ask is, is it okay to heat the card without removing the metal mounting frame on it?

As you can see in the photo, there is a plastic (black) gasket between the metal frame and the card. It sticks the frame tightly to the card.

I previously removed the metal frame while heating it, but it is quite difficult to separate it from the surface it is attached to. If there is no problem, I do not want to remove it.

What worries me right now is the possibility that...

Reattaching new edge to edge LCD panel to tv frame - Hisense 55a6g and others
            by mecha1166
Some new tvs have an LCD screen attached to the outside of the frame with foam tape. These are "edge to edge" as they are called. I am trying to figure out how to reattach an LCD panel back up to the frame. The manufacturer used 3/16 inch foam tape along the top and rh/lh edges. I used a razor blade to separate the panel from the metal frame. The metal frame that the panel is taped to is 1/4 inch wide along the 2 sides and top. I completely removed the residue from the metal frame. There is some residue on the panel itself along the 3 edges, I removed almost all of it using alcohol and...

Design of CCFL Backlight Inverters with Frame & Bar Cores

            Summary

Portable devices, such as notebook computers and personal digital assistants are developed rapidly nowadays, which places an increasing demand on display technology. The LCD with cold cathode fluorescent back lighting satisfies the requirements on display performance, size and efficiency.

The backlight inverter plays a crucial role in supplying the power to the lamps of these flat-panel displays.

The frame and bar ferrite cores, described in this brochure, are especially designed...

LED TV Samsung The Frame 55 inch QE55LS03RAU Standby Light only
            by ChristianBr01
            Hello everyone,
I got a Samsung The Frame 55 inch TV for free from uncle cause it is not turning on anymore. I am in the second year of training as an electrician so I have knowledge already but I am far away from to be a pro.
The TV has Standby but ist not turning on. A Friend of mine owns a 50 inch Frame TV so I checked the One Connect Box and the One Connect Cable there. Both are good and working normally. I have opened the TV case and measured some voltages on the Board.
What I already found is that the 12.8V are not an the connector to the main board connector to the power...
