LG 42LM760T-ZB Lines on Screen (Hello friends - need some help please)

    Hi All,

I have a 42 inch LG 3D LED TV. Model no is 42LM760T -ZB,

My issue is a weird one that just started happening. I suspect my mom in law hates me and tried to break my TV lol.
I Can see evenly spaced horizontal black lines right across my TV from left to right on the entire screen. These lines are all 180 degree lines and are not very noticeable from far away but close up I can see them.
I have tried taking all cables out apart from power and seeing if it's possibly interference, but it wasn't. I've also tried using another power point, no luck.
    I'll upload some photos to.
I've read online and 50% of the comments are telling me its possibly a TCON board or the connectors, but wouldn't that just affect half the scrrent? Most other comments point me to believe that my Led screen is broken. It socks because its only 2 years old.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks for your help

Don't worry I edited the title for you.

The fault is a crap shoot... On the Samsung sets displaying this it's pretty much been a panel fault i.e. non repairable.

I've not yet seen an LG panel show it, so you might be lucky with a T-con but my gut hunch is it's a panel problem (I don't think your mother-in-law could cause this )

You could try a test - we will need a photo of the T-con board in the set.

Its a high possibility its the panel itself. I wouldn't recommend that you spend money on trying to find out.
--Has this set a separate T-Con, or is it integrated into the panel tab board?

Unfortunately it seems the more recent the set these days--The more Crap/unrepairable it is--no matter WHAT make.....

        Thanks for edit! ,
ahhh, that's a shame. Yeah, I haven't seen a real fix for this issue onlin. I might give the board a go. I'm in the UK, so need to shop around.

        Anyone else? What's your thoughts?

As I said, there's a test you can do that might help rule out the panel, but you'd need to open the set up and get us pictures of the T-con. It involves disconnecting some ribbon cables and seeing how the display changes.

            OK, sounds like a plan.

I can open it up this evening and take some pics.I've seem a few "how to disconnect the connectors from a TCON Board" vids

Anything else you would need me to do?

                Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines
                by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

                Hi all
I have lines on the screen...which is an age old problem that can be remedied by watching Youtube videos and getting out the tape.
My issue (after successfully fixing a different sammy tv with a separate tcon board and isolating the side of the panel...):

This tv has an integrated tcon...so it is a bit more confusing when trying to isolate the clocks.
It has a c ribbon and i have taken each end out to see if that will isolate the lines. instead, it makes it much worse ALL over the tv!

So....i don't know what end of the C ribbon to work with...

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
                by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

As stated by the person I collected the TV from, it just stopped working overnight. However, I still gave it a go to try and repair it.

There is a thread on the same TV but with slightly different issues where they had to tape connection points on the ribbon cable, so I want to see if this is repairable by any chance.

After bringing it home and plugging it in, the TV turned on with its backlight working but had no picture. After removing the back cover, the first thing I tried is to unplug one of the ribbon cables and the situation is as follows.

                Left...

Sony KD-55XG9505 lines on screen problem
                by Chrissygizmo
                Hello again everyone,

This is my latest mission, to try getting this Sony tv back to normal working order…

I've only just got it today, when you power it up everything is as should be, in fact it works perfectly for a few minutes then the screen starts getting horizontal lines on & eventually the full screen goes back, I will upload photos of the problem & also some photos of the board etc. You might notice that I'm busy trying the tape method, I'm not sure exactly where the clock lines are so I'm just guessing & hoping for the best lol . I've already tried...
