Your opinion - 'to repair or to not repair'? Vertical banding

Historically I have fixed similar problems were vertical blocks have been displayed - due to partly un-bonded tab bonds . But fixed by re bonding with hot glue

However this is an LCD is a Dell AIO unit and is a PITA to access the bond tabs for a play around

The image is similar but not the same as ( through experience ) a panel with perished tab bonds . But before there would be complete sections missing . As pictured the display is still there but there are bright bands vertically across the screen . The most irritating part is the wide band on the right - which I suspect is a bad tab bond

However I did not want to strip the whole set to find the panel can not be repaired

If I can fix this band on the right, I am happy to disassemble and fix

However on the other hand , the screen is still usable , and to the untrained eye it would not be noticed and possibly would be forgotten about - if sold on

    Your thoughts?

    God bless

Samsung 4K LCD white vertical banding in center
      by iampivot
I'm troubleshooting a Samsung LS28D590DS 28" 4K monitor which has white vertical banding in the center of the LCD panel. The image looks like it's distorted slightly as well in the middle. Am wondering if this could be caused by the panel, t-con board or the main board?

Looking for Vertical IC for RCA Chassis CTC159L CRT
      by mopenstein
I'm working on my 27" RCA console TV built in 1990. It had some vertical rollover for a few months that went away after being powered on for a few minutes. I had been meaning to open it up and check it out but it had total vertical collapse before I could get to it.

Now that I have the time I opened it up and found a couple leaky capacitors around the vertical ic. So I figured the caps went bad and cooked the vertical IC.

I got the caps out and replacements on order. But when I took out the Vertical IC I saw that the chip numbers have been almost completely wiped...

Hot tab bond, vertical white bar.
      by RainStorm
I have a sony XBR TV I just picked up that has a tab bond that gets extremely hot in the middle of the cable, where some rectangular piece is. Pressing on the tab bond does nothing except for make a few extra colored vertical bars show on the screen.

Could the TCON cause this? How can I repair the set?

See second photo for tab/screen display....

      Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines
      by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

Vizio M65Q7-H1 Red Vertical Strips fixed by tape blocking LC1 signal to half of the panel

      Failure Symptom

No picture, just red vertical stripes. Google search shows quite common problem for these recent Vizio M series although red vertical stripe pattern may differ. Some call it "Netflix" boot screen haha.

      Where is the short?

Panel has 4x buffer boards. Quickly found the 1/4 panel buffer board with the problem by selectively disconnecting buffer board flex cables.

Having recently fixed another Vizio with similar symptoms that was a shorted ESD diode array ( link ) Probed the ESD diode array but...
