    Vizio GV47LFHDTV20A Picture issue.

    Got this craigslist pick for cheap yesterday. the original issue was that it only showed a white vizio logo. I replaced the U5 voltage regulator and the caps on the inverter to get it up and running. did the channel search and the pictures show with some weird lines in it, i didnt expect that... the OSD shows just fine over the images tho. I'm assuming it's the T-Con because everything else works fine. The T-Con is pretty cheap, but i would like to fix it for the experience. any thoughts? Is there anything in particular that I should look for? Below are pics

      Did you already try re-seating all the cables and tighten all the PCB mounting screws?

          Yes, It looked like someone attempted repair before by removing the T-Con, i reseated all all the connections.

              Got this TV free. Guy said it tries to turn on and doesn't. I haven't seen this specific issue before but shown in video. Any way to test the screen to rule it out on these Vizio? Or anyone seen this issue before?

              Hello all ~

              Hope this finds you well. This LG 82UN8570AUD (April 2021 model) 4K UHD television has full audio capabilities but video is compromised / problematic.

              When I picked up this large LG tv it had a full black screen upon startup. Previous owner said it just went black one day. No popping sound or anything else of note.

              I got the display to work by taping off several traces of the right-hand side ribbon cable on the TCON that leads from TCON to PANEL. However, despite dozens and dozens of attempts to find the right combination / range of traces taped...

              I'm currently trying to diagnose and fix my Vizio TV (Model M50-C1). I've tried a number of different basic solutions, but I'm trying to determine if my issue is currently a failing panel, T-Con board, or main board (or something else entirely) and whether or not it is worth my time to fix it. Details of the issue and what I've tried are below as well as why I think it is either a bad panel, T-Con board, or main board.

              Sony KD-55X9000F TCON Issue

              The TV shows a black screen with no image.
              TCON ribbon connectors were disconnected individually for image and there was no half image even.
              Later both ribbons were disconnected and TCON voltages were tested.
              12V, 3.3V, 1.8V were seen present but VONE signal reads 0V.
              There is also a short to ground in this circled inductor.
              Is this a TCON issue or something else ?...

              Hi,

              i want to repair a Sony KD-75XF9005 TV that initially only showed a grey picture.
              Backlight seems to work, Sound (Setup menu after reset) works.
              If i dissconnect the left FFC cable from TCON to panel i have half a screen on the right. If left cable is connected always only the grey screen.
              Interchanged the cables, its always only the right side that is working. Always grey if left side is connected.
              With my small knowledge i would think at least the cables are good.

              Can this happen because of a bad tcon board?
              Or is it always a bad/shorted...
