Samsung 32 Inch LN32B360C5DUZA, Flashing on and off

Hey friends, new here. I have a LN32B360C5DUZA model samsung tv that alternates between on and off when i try to initially turn it on. When the tv is off/standby, i have a solid red led, and when i got to turn it on it blinks 5 times, as well as audio queue. After the blinking i get full display for about 1 second before the display turns off for about 3 seconds, this repeats 3 times before display stays black. Hitting the power button gives me the turning off audio queue.

From reading some other forums here, assuming the fault lied with the power board (Model: BN44-00289B), i tested multiple componets on the power board before i just order an entirely new power board, which didn't solve the problem nor changed anything. Previously before this issue arose, the screen was rapidly flickering where one could just barely notice it because of the quickness flickering. Also i can barely make out but i do see a picture from the screen, so i assume the backlights are off. Also audio stills work fine...

    Any idea's friends?

Picture of back of TV so we can see all the boards and one of each board please. Close up shot of the connector from main to PSU so we can see any labels

SJ sells EEPROM so that is one possibility:

      "IMPORTANT:
These main boards can have multiple failures, in addition to the EEPROM.
If EEPROM replacement does not repair your board, there are likely additional problems.

      Symptoms EEPROM replacement MAY fix:
      - On screen display is stuck on logo screen
      - TV won’t power on with remote or buttons (LED indicator remains same color)
      - TV won’t turn on after being off for 30+ minutes
      - TV shuts off by itself during channel scan or when switching inputs
      - TV turns on and is stuck in color test pattern mode forever
      - TV turns on but there is no backlight (LED indicator shows TV is on but there is no image)"

Is the EEPROM what u believe to be the next part I should replace? If so do these bad boys need to be flashed or do they all do the same function?

It is the possibility, it must be programmed, the one from SJ is already done that.
At this point I would contact SJ to see what they say about it.

From what i remember reading, if i were to disconnect power cable at CN802 that leads from power board to main board, when i plug in the tv to ac the backlights should come on yes? Cause its does for a second 1 time and turns off. is that normal or should it stay on? If thats the case, does that rule out the mainboard since its disconnected from power?

OK, I found the diagram for the 00289b, the board has pull-up resistors, so if you disconnect the cables to the main board, the backlights should come on and stay on the minute you plug the TV into the outlets.

Care to specify the location of said pull-up resistor? And just to make sure, this is a resistor that i can just pop out by hand without soldering right?
Also with all cables to mainboard disconnected, the backlight will come on for a moment but turn off...

No need to pull anything, if the backlights do not stay on with the cables disconnected, then you have the power supply/inverter board or bad lamps problem.

Well as i originally stated, i just got an entirely new power board, to which it exhibits the same behaviour as the board it was replacing. even if the new power board was faulty in one way or another to exhibit the same symptoms seems to coincidental to me. Which seems to bring me to a lamp problem? Is there a way to test that? Are there multiple lamps? if so, can they be tested independently of each other? Or should i even bother with this set anymore?

The new board may have problem, but since it is doing the same as the old board then more likely to be problem some where else.
You can first inspect the sockets where the power supply board's fingers stick into, then you have to take the panel apart to get to the lamp assembly.
For 32", it is not worth that much if it needs new lamps.
You can look at the sticker on the LCD panel to look up the specheet, it looks like it has 8 lamps.
