I have a TV that had a faulty power supply. It was a 1250V 22nF cap.
Replaced that and the TV ran fine for 2 days. Then stopped. Took it apart turns out it is the top buffer board that has failed.
The model of the tv is 50PM6700. It is a 3D tv, but I have found it has the same panel as The PA4500 and PA6500 and probably others. I looked for the plastic tab that breaks and cuts into the ribbon cable on the top but can't find it. My Tv may have a different frame that eliminated that problem.
The top IC on the buffer tested bad. What is the chance of it being just the buffer. From what I read it looks low.
Cheers
Pete
