Samsung LE40M86BD LCD display issue - Streaks on screen...

    Hey guys
I have this Samsung 40" LCD TV, which is about 7 years old now. It has a strange problem, in that there are two streaks on the screen, in the lower-right corner.
I say streaks, because they're not lines - not line lines/rows of dodgy pixels like you often see. These are less uniform in appearance. And they're not dead pixels, but rows of discoloured ones. They can't be seen when the TV is off, but appear when powered-up with blank screen, or when a picture is displayed they mostly look blue, but occasionally look a different colour depending on what the image is.
I've attached some pictures which hopefully show the issue. If anyone could advise me on what the cause is, and whether this is realistically something that can be resolved I'd really appreciate it!

This looks like an LCD panel fault. I'm not sure what is causing it as we've seen it before. But I doubt it can be fixed, sorry.

Are they always at the same position or do they change their position depending on the picture?

        Thanks for the reply Tom
I guess I had feared the worst! In fairness, it is watchable as it is, but would have been nice if there was an easy(ish) solution! Can one change the panel? I guess that even if this was possible, you'd be in the realms of getting a new TV anyway!?

Hi Paul. Thanks for your reply. The streaks are in the same place all the time. No obvious damage to the screen (and this model has a tough shiny cover over the panel anyway (almost like a plasma). And the pixels seem to show some detail - just totally the wrong colour!

Samsung UE48JU7000 screen issue after backlight replacement
            by ScHAmPi
            Hi all,

Because of two bright spots and a couple of dark spots I decided to replace the backlights in my Samsung UE48JU7000. See attached photos:

I thought all went well, but after full assembly and testing it out it turns out not all is fine. The backlights are completely fine but I have some weird issues on the right half of the screen. Since I didn't really touch the T-CON board (apart from taking out the ribbons of the display and reconnecting them on assembly) it would be weird that the issue is with the T-CON board... But based on the behavior of the service...

            Samsung UE55JU6800K half screen dark
            by Chrissygizmo
Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same...

samsung galaxy ao2s very temperamental after screen replaced
            by Chrissygizmo
Hi , I've recently replaced the screen in my Samsung galaxy ao2s, at first it wouldn't even turn on, it had the charging symbol on the screen when plugged in but the green circle wasn't going around to show it charging....
Ive eventually managed to get it on and working but it's very temperamental...

The battery icon always reads as 50% , when the phone goes into lock screen mode i sometimes can't get the screen back on unless I plug the charger in to get it to light up, also it keeps putting the camera app on.. u think it could be something to do with the side buttons. ...

Dynabook Satellite Pro C50D-B-100 - BIOS Issue, Black Screen
            by wizard13
            Hello everyone,

I am experiencing a BIOS-related issue with my Dynabook Satellite Pro C50D-B-100. When I power on the laptop, the screen stays black, and there is no response from the system. I suspect a corrupted BIOS.

I have checked the forum and the available documentation but could not find a solution specific to my issue.

Samsung UN55J6200AFXZA Splash Screen Comes up, goes out, screen flashes one time and then tv won't turn off.
No picture. No sound that I can tell. Backlights are on and have been checked. Flashlight test no image on screen. I replaced the Eprom chip hoping that was the problem but nothing changed.
            Please help. Thanks in advance!
