Ah, ok. I have not done a large one myself either but I have done LCDs\CCFLs up to 22", I expect there is not a huge difference. Maybe the panel frame is different but overall it should be similar.

The led strips have been replaced. Found that one of the 2 strips had a couple of leds that you could see were burned out.

To dis assemble the panel, once the back of the tv is removed, start with the screen facing you. This will aid in aligning all the diffusers on reassembly.

Have someone help you with the glass and have a brand new dust cloth to remove any dust that may get on the surfaces....I used one made by Guardsman.

Good to hear and thanks for the information. I definitely agree about the dust!

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
          by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

          Assuming...

          Vizio E601i-A3 backlight issue
          by 1crow1
When I turn on the TV the backlights flash on for a second and go out, I get the Vizio logo on screen for that short time. It passes the flashlight test.
Will a bad backlight cause this shutdown or should I be looking at the power board.

VIZIO E70-E3 Half picture with half TCON
          by Fly_Among_Stars
          Hi,
          I have a VIZIO E70-E3.
Symptoms: Black screen, no picture, but LED backlights are working.
I probed the power board and voltages are as listed on the board.
          Main board appears fine, too.
I believe the problem is either a bad T-CON board, or connection to LCD, or bad LCD.
There are two separate ribbon cables feeding the LCD.
If both are connected, the screen is black.

If only the ribbon cable that feeds the right side of the screen (when viewed from the front) is disconnected, the left side of the screen shows picture and...

Vizio M70-D3 4K with dark spots backlight issue
          by Yanleb
I have a Vizio M70-D3 4K with a dark spots backlight issue. It is using the Y8387248A backlight driver board.

On this model each of the 64 transistor powers 2 LEDs. Using my TKDMR TD3H backlight tester I've determined that the backlight LED strips were the issue, and the backlight driver board was just fine. Some LED pairs required 5.9 volt at 155mA, some required 9.5 volt and some were completely open.

I've removed the LCD panel and once the LED strips were exposed I've tested them again by connecting my LED tester directly on the test pads. To my surprise all, I've...
