LE40R88BD Powers Off After About 30 Seconds

Hi all, I have here a samsung le40r88bd, I got the tv and it was stuck on standby light so had a look inside and found 2 bulged caps so i replaced those then tested and the set fired up but after about 30 seconds it went back into standby, I then tested the rest of the caps and all are testing good on my meter, I then tried turning it on and disconnecting the buttons on the set incase they were faulty but still it powered off after about 30 seconds, All DC voltages from the board are as they should be and none seem to fluctuate before the fault happens. Would anyone know what might cause this?

    Here's a few pics

I had this issue once, and to solve it I had to turn off the watchdog in service menu.
You gotta be quick to navigate through the menus. It took a few tries before I finally managed to "kill" the dog before it shut down.

Alienware 17 R3 (LA-C912P) Powers on then powers off after 4-6 seconds
              by ResoluteHawk
I have an Alienware 17 R3 (board is a C912P) that I recently starting trying to repair. Originally the issue was the charger going into protection mode when plugged in to the laptop. I found a short on the motherboard (one of the capacitors on the back of the board under the DRMOSes for the CPU) and the charger when plugged in now doesn't go into protection mode anymore. The laptop powers on, the lights on the keyboard, alien head, and alienware logo light up, and the fans spin. The issues are:

              1) The battery doesn't charge. I've probed the charger jack and it's only receiving 0.633v...

ASUS TUF 506 powers off after about 10 seconds due to heat
              by survivalbloke
This laptop come in with liquid damage. I located a couple areas on the board which honestly didn't look bad at all. I ISA them and cleaned up - can't even tell anything happened. However, when I power up the computer, it will shut off after about 10 seconds. I discovered it seemed like the fans weren't coming on because the board was getting mad hot right around the battery charging mosfets and coil. Anyhow, I checked under the thermal camera with just the power adapter connected but the machine off. I have marked what is warm at that time. Once I power it up, the coils near CPU vcore start heating...

TV "BLAUPUNKT"32/122I-GB-5B-HBKU-EU - ok standby - blue led on for a few seconds
              by truztruz
              Hello to all,

              I'm trying to repair a TV model "BLAUPUNKT" 32 / 122I-GB-5B-HBKU-EU with mainboard TP.MSD309.BP75.

              Red standby is present.

By pressing the power button, the blue led lights up for several seconds (about 6 seconds) but no sign of TV life (no backlight and no video signal on the panel (verified with a flashlight)

The LED then returns to red and then returns to blue and so on (the flashing is not fast, but as mentioned, several seconds pass between red and blue)

I measured the voltage on the main output...

Dell laptop powers up with kb backlight about 10 seconds, then shuts off
              by survivalbloke
I've got a Dell Latitude 5580 which came in for no power. It's not exactly a no power issue though. The battery was puffy so I replaced that, but the symptom is that when the power button is depressed, the keyboard backlights will come on for about 10 seconds then go back off. Before depressing power button, I am drawing 112ma and oddly, there is no change in current draw once the button is pressed and the keyboard backlights illuminate.

              Any ideas?

Anker SoundCore 2 Bluetooth Speaker Turns Off After a Few Seconds (Possibly Firmware Issue?)
              by zklgfs
              Hi,

I have an Anker SoundCore 2 (A3105) that I saved from the trash (well, I guess there's a reason why it was supposed to go into the trash...). The problem is that it always turns off after a few seconds (sometimes it stays on a bit longer, between 30 and 60 seconds, but it still turns off). The power light turns on and the bluetooth light starts blinking, but both abruptly turn off again. The "turn off sound" is still played after the lights turn off. Sometimes, it also loops the on-off cycle several times without me pressing any buttons. If I connect an AUX cable, music...
