I think it'd be good to go going by the buffer tests you posted. Although some of the results were not quite what is to expected they are allat or above the resistances so essentially nothing shorted which is what you need to watch.

just take your time and ensure all earth screws are in. If you end up with horizontal lines then turn it off and re-align the panel ribbons that line up with the problem areas if any. Be gentle with those ribbons, they go in and then you feel them wedge and go in a smidge more. They need to be in straight.

TW2005, Thanks for all your help. I never removed the buffer boards from the ribbon connectors, just removed the ribbon between the two boards, sc was removed completely. I'll give it a go, and see what happens. I have a not so intelligent question, When checking resistance, I always use black probe for ground and red on TP, if they were switched, red on ground, and black on TP would that matter. caught myself doing that once or twice.

you would get different results on some which may explain the high readings I'm seein as the cct charges. You could do a quick double check and try both direction for each of those although Vfo is the one that should be about 1.9meg.

regardless, if there was a short it would not matter as you would get the same result either way that's why I'm not concerned at the descrepancy

Gentlemen, Installed my repaired SC board from Moduslink today. Made sure everything was tight and connected correctly. Double checked everything, and fired her up. Success, Great picture and sound. Is there anything I have to do before I button this one up? Thanks again for all the help, with my first Panasonic Plasma.

No, just make sure all bolts are in and tight. Blow out and remove any excess dust.

Panasonic ZT60 plasma tv with strange behavior and 8 blink code
                    by cloo
I recently got my hands on a 60" Panasonic P60ZT60 plasma tv (european model) that has some strange issues along with an 8 blink code.
It know this tv is getting old but it was once considered one of the best plasmas ever made, and i think it is still holds on to that even by todays standards.

So, long story short. When i first got the tv it had a very bright washed out picture with very raised blacks in all picture modes and i couldn't find the cause in the picture setting menus.
After doing a factory reset this problem was gone and the picture was back to...

panasonic TX-P50V10E 6 blink led problem
                    by Vebririon
                    Hi everyone,

I'm new here and trying to repair my Panasonic TX-P50V10E plasma TV, which is currently showing the 6 red blink error code.

Just for context: I'm used to building PCs and installing modchips in old consoles, but this is my first time trying to fix a TV. I'm French, and while my English is okay, I'm using ChatGPT to help translate and clarify my messages as much as possible — so please forgive any odd phrasing.

I'm also not very experienced with using a multimeter, but I'm very motivated and ready to follow instructions carefully and report...

Panasonic Viera TX-P46G10E 11 blink even after fan replacement
                    by Jacksoft
                    Hi all,
I have here a Plasma TV TX-P46G10E that before had a problem where it had issues with 11 blinks (FAN SOS) BEFORE starting normally. After that it works for all day long.
It had some bad cold solder and I remade them all. After I replaced a fan that was half-dead (no RMP signal from the respective pin, but ok with 9V).
Now the TV power up instantly and works perfect... only without the backplate!
If the backplate is placed on the TV shutsdown after about 10min and start blinking with the 11 blinks. If I shutdown and re-powerup it starts blinking after a bunch of...

Looking for help diagnosing a 65" Panasonic Viera TV - TH-65DX700Z (Turns on - Clicks - Turns off)
                    by mostachio
                    Hi Badcaps,

I've had a friend discard a TH-65DX700Z Pansonic Viera Television and I've decided to have a go at repairing it. If possible could I please get some advice in terms of diagnosing the problem so I can purchase the appropriate parts for repair whether it be components, a repair kit or a replacement board. I am happy to post pictures if required.

                    TV Details:

                    Model # - TH-65DX700Z

                    Symptoms:

The television turns on and displays a picture then makes a clicking sound and turns off.

I haven't opened it up yet but...

                    Panasonic TH-42PZ800 8-blink error mystery
                    by nervx
Years ago my tv gave a 7 blink code which turned into 8 during diagnosis. I had ordered a replacement ss board but somehow the tv started working again and i never used the board. Now a week ago my tv flickered and shut off at random and gave the 8 blink error code. The same issue it had all those years ago. The only difference this time is that over the last few months there has been some purple and green tinge that comes and goes in more solid colors such as white.

Anyway i checked all the screws and replaced the ss board with a known good one and still got 8 blinks. I saw a...
